Matt Jarvis filled all us Wolves fans with pride as he took to the Wembley field in an England shirt on Tuesday. Not only was it great to see a current Wolves player become the first to wear the Three Lions badge since Steve Bull in 1990, he played well too. In his 20 minutes on the pitch he got involved, his touches were tidy, he linked up well with Milner behind him and he won several throw-ins and corners.

It was a wonderful occasion for Wolves fans and it was a fully deserved cap for a player who has been in the form of his life. Now I think we have to brace ourselves for the inevitable – bids from other clubs.

A stunning goal to beat Aston Villa and finally the England call-up his form this season has deserved - it's been quite a week for Matt Jarvis. The flying winger has been the star of the show for Wolves this year by a mile. The whole city is proud of the lad who I’m sure, given the chance against Wales, can prove himself worthy of an England jersey for years to come.

All things considered, I was happy with a point against Tottenham on Sunday. And by ‘things’ of course I mean Mike Halsey.

He’s widely acknowledged as one of the league’s best referees and a top bloke. I agree, but it doesn’t mean he didn’t have an absolute stinker at Molineux and make Wolves’ chances of getting anything from the game so much more difficult.
