It looks like Wolves’ first signing of the summer will be Jelle Van Damme from Anderlecht. He’ll cost around £2.5 million and although described as a utility player, left-back is his preferred position and that is one that we need to fill.

So a good bit of business if Jez pulls it off? . . .

Good news – Wolves finished the season in 6th position!
Okay, the 2-1 win over Sunderland meant we cemented 15th slot in the Premier League.
But in my league table of achievement, we were in amongst the elite.
It’s the Premier League re-jigged based on my (totally unbiased) opinion of where the clubs came in terms of their actual finish compared to their resources and targets.

We might have lost against Portsmouth but who cares?
We're still celebrating an amazing season and it's time to hand out some end-of-season awards to unofficially recognise the players that have given their all for the cause this season.

So imagine a glitzy ceremony at Molineux with a gold and black carpet leading nominees from their cars to the gates.
Inside they all congregate and watch in antcipitaion as celebrities (Don Goodman, Suzi Perry, Denise Lewis, Jamelia, Robert Plant) take to the stage and read out pathetic lines from an autocue.
Then finally, broadcast live to the nation, we all learn who will be taking home a Bully - think of an Oscar but with a little old gold statuette of Steve Bull instead.

And the award for Player of the Season goes to . . .
