Is there a harder working attacking partnership in world football than Andy Keogh and Kevin Doyle?
I don’t think so. It’s rare to find two strikers so willing to run the channels, track back and tirelessly make themselves available for the ball, however many times it doesn’t come to them.
As Mick McCarthy said after the brilliant 2-1 win against Fulham – “Why do Manchester United win games? Because they work hard.”
And that’s how we can stay up this season. There are good reasons why we can’t be the most skillful team in the league, or the cleverest with the ball. But there is no reason at all why we can’t be the hardest working.

Keogh and Doyle led from the front and it got me thinking, can anyone in the league match their endeavor? . . .
Rooney (yes) and Berbatov (no)
Drogba (yes) and Anelka (no)
Eduardo (yes) and Van Persie (no)
Tevez/Bellamy (yes) and Adebayor/Santa Cruz/Robinho (no)

I could only think of 2/3 other partnerships that could match them . . .
Keane and Defoe
Torres and Kuyt
Johnson and Zamora

That is some good company for our lads to be in.

Plus, behind those two look at the lung-busters in midfield – Edwards, Kightly, Jarvis, Henry.
It’s so encouraging to watch a team of players give absolutely everything they can.
After all, that’s surely what us fans would do if we got a chance to play for Wolves.
