Money can buy you skill, creativity and class. It can't buy you bottle.

That's why Man City won't make the top four this season. They haven't got the heart.

Am I bitter about the defeat at the weekend?
No, it was a decent game which we might have got a draw out of with a bit more composure or luck.
But they outplayed us in the first half and we responded well in the second, albeit coming up a bit short.

What was noticable about the mercenaries on the other side though was how much their heads dropped when they were on the back foot.
They weren't getting roughed up, they just didn't get things their own way and couldn't handle it.
Robinho had a goal disallowed for being three metres offside and sulked for the rest of the game.
Adabayor scored another good goal but hardly touched the ball in the second half because he won't work to win it back.
Tevez, who I love as a footballer, had a poor game and twice left his foot in on our players out of frustration.
Barry even got a bit shirty, squaring up to one of our lads in the second half.

You have to ask yourself what kind of player leaves Real, Man Utd or Arsenal to play for a team that's not in the Champuions League. And with the World Cup coming up too.
The type that thinks money is more important than trophies, the type that sulks when they're left on the bench instead of fighting for their place, the type that doesn't respond when they're under the cosh.

Would Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool have started time wasting after 70 minutes at home against Wolves when they were 1-0 up?
Would Rooney or Drogba go missing for 45 minutes just because their supply line had been cut off or would they chase back and win the ball?
Would any of their managers have ploughed on with the same tactics after our shift in formation caused them so many problems?

There are many better teams than us in the Premier League and if Man City have several members of their team sulking for 45 minutes against them, they'll come unstuck.

With the addition of Lescott they'll get better of course, and they'll get stronger each year.
But for this season, they just don't have the bottle.
