Of course we're disappointed. How could we not be? We had a great chance to make the World Cup final, and we didn't do the job. The Dutch were strong, but hardly unbeatable. Frankly, they aren't half the team that Germany is right now, and so we maybe should have done better.

Diego Forlan, you are an absolute hero, and unlike Suarez, you are a hero we can all feel good about without reservation. Amazing tournament - now, score two goals in the third-place match and steal that Golden Boot.

Again, we got what we should have expected from Netherlands - quality from Sneijder, trickery from Robben. I don't think anyone predicted a long-distance shot from Van Bronckhurst, though, and that's what really did it - the X factor. We didn't have enough diversity in scoring threats this tournament, and the Dutch did.

Whoever loses tonight's Germany vs. Spain semifinal will be our opponents for Bronze in this tournament. We must win this match to keep a South American side in the top three. That may be the biggest disappointment - after Brazil and Argentina fell, we were the last hope for a non-European finalist, and we failed.
