Uruguay have done it - won Group A and advanced to the Round of 16. As was always expected, winning the group means avoiding Argentina, as the Albiceleste have comfortably won their own group. If anyone hasn't been keeping score at home, South America is dominating this World Cup so far.

Next up is South Korea, who drew with Nigeria 2-2 in Durban, gaining the fourth point that put them above Greece and into the knockouts. Yakubu missed an absolute sitter in that match that could have very well made Nigeria our opponents instead. Personally, I respect South Korea, but I'd prefer to face them rather than (very likely) the only African country left, with an entire home continent behind them. Good luck to Ghana in breaking the African duck.
It's a great day - a win over Mexico (never anything to scoff at), winning the group, conceding not a single goal in our three group matches, etc. For a team that some wrote off as "2 great forwards and 9 other men", those three clean sheets should prove otherwise.
Next up, the Koreans, then we're in the 8 and who knows from there. We certainly believe we can do it.
