Stoke City

Wembley fever has well and truly hit the Potteries and now the Spurs game is out of the way we can all concentrate fully on the task in hand on what we’re all hoping will be an amazing day out at the Twin Towers.

One local group, Universal Thrift Club, have released a charity song to celebrate this momentous occasion, and with guest appearances from Georgie Berry and the legendary Nigel Johnson it’s sure to go straight to the heart of the Stoke City faithful. The fact that all proceeds go to local Charity - The Donna Louise Trust - is a magnificent gesture and will hopefully be a welcome boost to the Hospice many Stoke players and fans alike have adopted as their own.

The song entitled ‘The Great North London Road Trip’ by Universal Thrift Club can be downloaded now from iTunes or via www.stoketshirts.co.uk – all profits will be going to the Hospice so download it now, and if the idea of Georgie Berry in a Red and White Afro wiggling his hips does it for you, you’ll love the video too!

Best wishes from Shell Cove, Australia,
C'mon Stoke:
Couple of songs for you:

Que sera, sera,
It's gonna be Stoke City
Bye Bye Bolton wannabes
Stoke city, city

(to the tune Bye,Bye, Baby, Bay City Rollers)

Bye Bye Bolton, Bolton goodbye,
Make way for Stoke, Stoke City

In case you're wondering who I am, my youngest daughter lives in Meir Hay and teaches in a Stoke school.

COME ON YOU REDS!

About
James Whittaker James Whittaker is a football writer and ardent Stoke fan. Having moved to Leeds as a youngster his father refused to take him to his local Championship winning side and instead insisted he chose the Third Division team of his forefathers, Stoke City. Since then there has been no looking back and having been brought up on a diet of Dave Rowson, Kyle Lightbourne and John Gayle, is now embracing the dizzy heights of the top flight for the first time in his life. Fiercely loyal, though always welcoming sensible chat and debate, you can find him on Twitter @ESPN_Stoke
