Stoke City
Posted by James Whittaker on 08/05/2010

Loic Remy has been in Stoke all day and is rumoured to be undergoing a medical late this afternoon as City attempt to steal a march on the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and West Ham to land the much coveted Frenchman.

I could barely believe what I was hearing as I switched on the news this morning to hear that Stoke had chartered a private jet to fly the young Frenchman over to England to discuss a deal rumoured to be in the region of €15m. It seems that Liverpool’s takeover hasn’t come soon enough, and West Ham can’t afford to match Stoke’s offer, instead proposing to pay in instalments, handing the incentive to the Potters and giving Chairman Coates the chance to splash the cash on what could be the biggest signing in the history of this football club.

More to follow as events continue to unfold…

I think that the move to Stoke would be right as at Liverpool he will just be second to Torres and will be on the bench for most of the season.

Editor Comment - Absolutely, that said they can't afford to pay out for him until the takeover is completed...I hope we don't have to wait that long!!
