A stunning individual display from Slovak Vladimir Weiss helped Rangers to a fantastic 4-1 win at Fir Park this afternoon.
Weiss was positioned just behind Kenny Miller in the starting 11 and produced a superb performance capped off with a wonderful solo-goal in the second-half. Surprisingly, Rangers fielded the same side which flopped at Inverness but it looked like a totally different side on show who entertained the thousands of Rangers fans that made the short journey to Motherwell.
Rangers started well, inspired by Weiss, but also by Steven Naismith who played a big part in the first goal with a neat one-two with Madjid Bougherra and the Algerian Player of the Year cut back for Kenny Miller who fired home. Weiss was involved in the second Rangers goal which was helped by Steven Saunders who headed the ball into his own net from the Slovakian winger's free-kick.
An almost perfect first-half for Rangers was slightly shadowed by Steven Naismith coming off just before half-time after picking up a hamstring injury. Rangers will be hoping Naismith's injury will not be as bad as first feared.

The SPL champions were given a scare early in the second-half after shambolic defending from David Weir and Madjid Bougherra gifted Motherwell one back through John Sutton. Neither Bougherra or Weir were in control of an aimless high-ball which allowed Sutton in on goal and he fumbled the ball in the net.
Vladimir Weiss calmed the nerves with a stunning solo-goal just 5 minutes later when Steven Davis found space and passed the responsibility on to Weiss who skipped away from Motherwell's defence and fired a low shot into the far corner.
Weiss was oozing confidence and a quick free-kick resulted in a fourth goal for Rangers as Kenny Miller latched to the idea and fumble home after indecisive goalkeeping from Randolph. Weiss then left the pitch to a standing ovation and replaced by talented youngster Jamie Ness who slotted into the centre of midfield.
Rangers' terrific performance was slightly dented by Celtic's two late goals at home to St Johnstone but if the SPL champions can produce that type of performance every week then Celtic could be in for a hiding on January 2nd.
