Premier Fantasy

Premier fantasy managers should not dwell in the past. However, lessons can be learned to help with transfer decisions in the future. Patience is usually a key over the long run. Sir John looked at players he deemed over-rated or useless and winced at their performance in Week 6.

Consider the following players Sir John has either dumped or recommended not holding:
Demba Ba--This "major disappointment" scored a hat trick. 15 points.
Gareth Bale--This "over-rated" winger scored a goal. 9 points.
Peter Crouch--The giraffe scored a goal. 7 points
Rafael Van der Vaart--Considered injury prone. Scored a goal. 9 points.
Ramires--Considered fragile and over-rated. Scored a brace. 15 points.
Mario Balotelli--Opined as a poison head case (he still is). Scored a goal. 5 points.
Robin Van Persie--The Dutch glass slipper scored a brace. 11 points.
James Milner--Sir John's "disappointment" scored a goal. 7 points.

Nine players with 78 points! Ouch!

The moral of the story: If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Sir John had his worst week of the fantasy season with a measly 38 points. Captain Rooney and Darren Bent's absences killed all hopes for a respectable showing. For next week, Bent has been transferred and Sir John is taking his own advice and has brought in Adebayor.

Until later I remain,
Yours faithfully,
Sir John
