Sir John believes Spurs and 'Arry made an excellent move to pick up Emmanuel Adebayor on loan. For fantasy players, what does it mean?

Even if he was fit and learned the system in two days, Adebayor could not play this weekend against the club that has loaned him out. However, that's good because it means he'll only miss the second game between the clubs.
On paper, the 6-3 striker is more than worth a gamble, especially for fantasy players who are lagging behind in their leagues.
Here is a 27 year old lad who scored 13 goals for Real Madrid and City last year and has had glory years with Arsenal with 20 and 29 goals.
And who else does Spurs have who pose a threat up front? Defoe, Pavylyuchenko and Crouch? Please. First off, the human giraffe has not been deemed ready to even suit up. Between those three players they have a grand total of two points in the one match so far this season. And all three have salaries of 6.3 million, well below the man from Togo who is at 5.5.
Anyone else on the training ground? The roster lists Dos Santos and some guy named Souleymane Coulibaly, so the well is basically dry.

After the match with Man City, Spurs has a run of games that offer enticing nets for Adebayor. Wigan, Fulham, Everton, awful Blackburn and Aston Villa are not exactly Champions League-caliber teams.

So, while only 1% percent of managers now own Adebayor, Sir John looks for that number to go up dramatically. And future story lines will be fantastic when Adebayor plays against Arsenal. For Spurs die-hard supporters, it is time to live and let live and forget the many matches when Adebayor broke their hearts with goals. That was then and this is now and Monday's performance by Spurs at Old Trafford was ugly.

If the Premier fantasy web page has not listed Adebayor with Tottenham, don't worry. If you select him while still listed with Man City, he will automatically become a Spur.

And finally, what about Sir John? Am I tempted? Not really. For now I'll stick with Rooney, Bent and Aguero even though they are owned by many managers.

Have a fun footie weekend.

Faithfully yours,
Sir John
