Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Three-hundred-sixty-minutes (not counting stoppage time) played between them and a grand total of three goals (one of them an Own Goal by WBA).

About 60 players were on the pitch for those four teams. I wonder what those two goals work out to for the salary the MU, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal players were paid for the day?
In any event, the fantasy point totals so far in Week 1 are very low for most managers. Major rewards came to those holding defenders and goalkeepers who recorded clean sheets.
We wait to see if Manchester City's bloated talent budget can find the onion bag tomorrow against visiting Swansea.

this article is really quite silly. manchester united scored both those goals so really it should be 90 minutes 2 goals. football is alot more than mere goals. go back to writing about instant fix american sports and leave football alone until you have something worth writing please.

Hello John,
Thanks for your comments; however, I wasn't writing about preseason.

Thank you so much for this article, it saved me time!

Comment:
Hello Addy,
Glad to help.
Hope you enjoyed the matches today. One observation: Liverpool plays better with Suerez and Kyut in the lineup. I think Andy Carroll slows the attack.
Arsenal is a team in deep trouble. Today's outcome should be the clincher for Nasri to leave the team.
Yours faithfully,
Sir John
