There were a number of fingers in the windowsill just before the EPL transfer window closed.
August 30, 2011
There are more than 500 players in the EPL. Many are easy to cheer for, while there are a rotten few that you find yourself rooting against.
August 28, 2011
There were big-time rewards for Premier fantasy managers who picked Dzeko, ignored Rooney's off-year last season and saw the potential of Ashley Young.
August 27, 2011
Congratulations to fantasy managers who transferred in Juan Mata.
August 26, 2011
Sir John believes Spurs and 'Arry made an excellent move to pick up Emmanuel Adebayor on loan. For fantasy players, what does it mean?

Hello lads and lassies,
Are these three worth a fantasy risk?
Hello lads and lassies,
You will notice the redesigned Premier Fantasy game has more frequent player salary/value adjustments based on their performance, suspension or injury status than last season.
August 23, 2011
The addition of Samir Nasri and Juan Mata will mean further subtraction of playing time for Man City and Chelsea midfielders. So what players cannot be thrilled with the newcomers?
August 22, 2011
Hello lads and lassies,
While Sir John does not like two segments for Premier Fantasy and believes 40 transfers takes away from the strategy, now that glitches have been solved in posting points for players on the pitch for 60+ minutes, I like the game's new look and how it works.

Give credit where credit is due.
One of the fantasy players Sir John considers over-rated had a magnificent goal today.
Gareth Barry's rocket shot in the upper right hand corner of the onion bag was a thing of beauty. Another member of Sir John's over-rated players, James Milner was strong for City.
The Bolton-Man City match was clearly the best game so far for Week 2. Aguero was outstanding and could easily have notched four goals. David Silva is silky smooth.
Man of the Match had to be Dzeko. He and Aguero and Silva work beautifully together.
Hello lads and lassies:
Sir John has been advised that the delay in points being posted for players on the pitch 60 minutes or more is being remedied.

Hello lads and lassies,
I am still adjusting to the redesigned fantasy game and point tally.
August 19, 2011
Sir John is not sure if others had their points changed; however, one point was added to his team's total for Week 1.
August 17, 2011
Hello lads and lassies,
Before the EPL season began, Sir John listed the fantasy players based on last season that he believes are over-rated for productivity and price. He had a starting XI and then a list of others.
August 14, 2011
Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Three-hundred-sixty-minutes (not counting stoppage time) played between them and a grand total of three goals (one of them an Own Goal by WBA).

I have enjoyed reaction both pro and con to my new blog. As an American, I understand those who think no Yank could ever know squat about football (the real deal, not with helmets and pads).
August 11, 2011
Arsenal supporters and fantasy players who have Gunners on their roster are seeing a continuing disarmament of the team. Gael Clichy is gone, Cesc is as good as gone and Samir Nasri may be gone. Depending who is brought in, the Gooners could be goners.

Hello lads and lassies,
Sir John offers part two of his EPL most over-rated Fantasy football players. In the first part, we looked at the starting XI. Today the “dishonorable” mentions. The statistics are for EPL matches only and give fantasy salary at the close of last season and the salary for the new 2011-2012 game.

Hello lads and lassies,
Sir John here from San Diego with the first thread on a new blog called “Sirly” You Joust and dedicated to all who love the beautiful game and are hopelessly addicted to ESPN’s Fantasy Soccer. I offer an American perspective from someone who lived in London while in the Navy and was able to get a midfield seat at Stamford Bridge for ten shillings! Alas, that was 1967-69.
With just days to go before the season begins, EPL freaks don’t have long to go to make it through rehab. ESPN Soccernet has launched its new game, so it’s time to be finalizing a 15-player roster that fits into the 100 million pound budget.
