On the 12th of September we face Bolton. And with the new signings, financial stability (knock on wood) and the international break I think we will take all three points.
Ahh, international breaks. A time to see your country in action, a time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of club football and in this case, a time to gel. On the last day of the transfer window Pompey were busy at work bringing in new faces and getting ready for the long months ahead.
Not only will it give Paul Hart a chance to re-evaluate the squad after the Transfer Day Drama, but it will allow the new players to gel with their teammates.
Also helping along Pompey's chances is Bolton's poor form this season, unfortunately for us the break could very well help Bolton in the same way it will help us. And I would give credit for their performance against Liverpool to the players and their desire to turn things around, not to Liverpool's misfortune.
So obviously it will be a tight match but I would look for Ben-Haim to feature and to show up and play big. We've brought in some quality players and I can't help but be optimistic about our chances. Play up, Pompey. Play up.
