Not a good game today lads, not a good one at all.

Drawing hurts. Losing hurts. Saturday's game against Bolton, that hurt. And it hurt bad. It seemed to be one thing after another for Pompey on Saturday. And our hopes of turning things around were squashed by Gary Cahill's *ahem* goal.
What probably hurt worse was seeing goals from Liverpool and Arsenal and Manchester City flash on the screen while we struggled against a side I know we are capable of beating.
Now, I could blame the ref for allowing Cahill's *ahem* goal, or I could bemoan the, put in the most polite terms possible, "soft" penalty that was given. I could point out that it should have finished 2-1 in our favour.

On the 12th of September we face Bolton. And with the new signings, financial stability (knock on wood) and the international break I think we will take all three points.
Ahh, international breaks. A time to see your country in action, a time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of club football and in this case, a time to gel. On the last day of the transfer window Pompey were busy at work bringing in new faces and getting ready for the long months ahead.
Not only will it give Paul Hart a chance to re-evaluate the squad after the Transfer Day Drama, but it will allow the new players to gel with their teammates.
