I've been wondering lately if anyone cares anymore.
After two disappointing losses in a row that question MUST be on the mind of someone out there. I can't honestly believe that there isn't anyone else somewhere in the world that is concerned about this alarming trend that we've been following lately. And it's a trend that you can see from looking at our last two opponents.
Arsenal. It looked like it might have something in it for twenty minutes and then we fell apart. Since beating us on home turf the Gunners themselves have been humiliated in front of their fans. Twice.
And Blackburn? Don't get started on Blackburn. Honestly lads, I know I'm being a bit harsh, but you have to understand, three points from Bolton followed by three losses and a draw is a bit frustrating. I don't know, maybe we should just focus on next season, what's the new kit gonna look like? Who's the new sponsor? Who's going, who's staying?
We still have two matches left, but we're safe, that's good enough, forget sportsmanship, or honour or anything like that. We're really buzzed about that new kit thing. I fancy the black quite a lot, we should keep that around.
I think that gent that wrote the report on the Blackburn match said it perfectly.
"That summed up a miserable day for Portsmouth, who may be safe but have got out of the winning habit."
For those that do care we play our last home game on Monday the 18th against Wigan. The club says there's still seats left, get out there! Support Pompey.

Don't be so down mate. It's end of the season and Pompey is safe from relegation. They're also not competing for European places so it's hard enough to motivate the players for the end of the season. But I think if Paul Hart is there long enough,he'll be able to inspire Pompey to newer heights.

way too many blown chances in the past 2 games.

I've found it very disappointing lately, we played a half string Arsenal side & got flogged at home, Blackburn we had nothing, Hart needs to pull his head out of his arse & with games like that give Gekas a chance to give a good show & maybe get some form of result. The higher we finish the more cash you get & we aren't rolling in it at the moment.

This season it´s over
It´s time to start thinking on next seasson.
Will Paul Hart be our manager?
Who will stay and who will go?
We have an aging team, so we need young guns to build a competitive team for the years to come?
Who is going to sign them?
It´s our actual-want to sell-owner willing to spend some money this summmer?

As someone who was on Pompeys books in the early fifties and watches every match shown hear in Canada I do not beleive Pompey are 100% safe. Football is as we all know a funny old game and nothing is for sure until the final whistle sounds. Pompey have no natural goalscorer and without that we will always struggle. Paul Hart and Brian Kidd have done well but I feel that management is just biding their time and hoping for a buyer. It wont be easy if Pompey go down. The prospect of possibly losing the likes of Glen Johnson and one or two others at the end of the season does not fill me with optimism for next year. It is up to the players to get us through. Come on lads , lets have a storming finish and win our two remaining fixtures.

Now is when you make decisions about who will stay and who will go. This includes decisions about the manager. Lots of players will be going to balance the books. Hart will most likely go, as I'm not convinced he even wants the job. We need a new owner as soon as possible, or next season will be even worse than this one.

Certainly Pompey have 3 points in them hosting Sunderland on Monday, and removing all doubt. But what was a very promising year has turned very sour. Harry turning his back on us with Defoe in tow, a less than stellar performance in Europe, than management troubles, injuries...I read a blog calling the boys mercenaries - it had a ring of truth. Who are they playing for? Is there a buyer out there? Portsmouth fans - at home and abroad like here in Annapolis - deserve the play that matches our support. I'm sure we'll hold the Premiership, but much nees to be put right in order to have a successful campaign next year.

Well, it could have been worse, and Pompey could have been battling relegation now. But Hart has really done well to undo whatever damage has been done from Tony Adams' reign, and right now, I can't blame the lads for not feeling just a little more motivated. Nothing to play and nothing to aim for, but here's hoping that Paul Hart can stay on and lead this team next season.

It looks as if Pompey will continue to fight for survival until the ownership problem is resolved. Once that's done the next step is management. Only then can Pompey start to build for the future.

I know that I am a couple of days late and I am writing after the Sunderland match but hey we are safe for another year and it was great result tonight. Hopefully we will have another one next Sunday so that we can go into the summer on the right foot. All of the posts are correct, we need to take care of the ownership, coaching issues and possibly rebuild with young talent. If we can do that then the future looks really bright.

Pompey is still getting issues wronge Particularly with features of players at the first 45 minutes considering the patten of play. Droping Utaka for too long is unbelievable considering his talent, Speed and options of play. He could be good with the wing if not scoring and a team player. The team is quick to adjust with little push except for James who may need more work. He lost composure easily i guess we need a reliable sub.
