Hello, and welcome fellow members of The Blue Army." My name is Ben Smith and I am the Fan Correspondent for Portsmouth FC. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer.
So, it's been a fairly good week for a certain football team, and no I'm not talking about that red team up north. Not that I haven't loved seeing United crack under the title pressure, but I wish it had come a week earlier or sooner because either way the spotlight wouldn't have been stolen away from Pompey. Peter "Prodigal Son" Crouch scored two goals off of two crosses that, let's face it, no one else but Mr. Roboto himself could've reached.
The story of a relegation threatened Portsmouth coming back to win against a fair Evertonian side would've been front page news. The only problem was it came during a week in which Liverpool was slaying giants, both foreign and domestic. But, big story or not points are points and all of Pompey is breathing a little easier now, being 3 points clear of the relegation zone.
David James questioned the loyalties of his team-mates to the club this week saying:
"Come the end of May, when the season finishes, there's a fair few of our team who will no longer be Portsmouth players.
"So the threat of relegation is more about failure during one season, as opposed to the consequences the following season.
"If you're going to be part of this team next year then there's always a chance that, with relegation, you're going to be playing in the Championship.
"If you're not, then you might be considering a move elsewhere and the impact of relegation isn't so great.
"We're in a position where people have to consider what's happening next season and with the uncertainty caused by the position we're in, it's understandable"
I hate to break it to Pompey but we may see players leaving regardless of whether or not we're playing in the Championship next year. I am however on James' side, as a professional footballer you owe it to your club to play til the whistle blows. If there are people playing for transfers then I say let 'em. What we don't need is Jermaine Defoe wannabe's saying As much as I love [insert club here] I feel that now is the right time for me to move on in my career. We need players that give 110% whether your in fifteenth or first and as I recall James stayed with West Ham for quite a while down there.
I apologize for the outburst but it's hard to think about the supporters feeling the pain and the loss of relegation only to see the men we counted on to keep us in the Premiership, run away with their tails between their legs.
Hopefully this international break will give the club some time to iron out the kinks and get focused on winning matches. We have some crucial matches coming up, On the fourth Pompey travel to Hull City then on the eleventh of April it's bottom feeders West Brom at the Fratton Fortress and with Manchester United, Arsenal, and relegation rivals Newcatle on the horizon Portsmouth needs to carry the momentum from this week's win into April and May if they want to be in the Premier League Next season.
Thanks for reading, keep your eye out for more soon.

Hi,
The club of the South Coast, is and still remains my favourite as far English Football is concerned. As ardent lover of Portsmouth right from the days of Veteran Coach, Harry.
When it was certain to all that FA CUP 2008,was Ours, I knew the Club is on the move of clinching another height in football history but little did I know that this season will put us in battle for survival situation. But I know it all started when key midfield stalwarts like Mendez, Muntari and Lassana were sold out. It was like the center could not hold again.
later on, Harry was gone, so to speak,
It was like too tough for My good Veteran Arsenal former Defender, Adams took over in a situation that put his job on the line.
Anyway, what ever situation 'we'(POMPEY) found ourselves, we shall stoop to conquer, our position in the league is not good at all for a rejuvenated club of such.
I encourage, the team, KANU and UTAKA and the rest, I love u all. Stick with and fight for POMPEY's survival

Portsmouth will surely play in the premiership next season, the victory over everton was too important and serves as the turning point for the club's survival, from now i see the club winning more games and worst cases playing draws.
For all POMPEYS, rejoice....the Blue Army belong to the big league and in the big league it will stay!!!
