With the news on Sunday that AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has quit the San Siro, the papers have gone crazy with speculation over how much the Italian will be given to spend at Chelsea when he is finally announced as boss.
Starting off with the Sun, who think Roman Abramovich will give Carlo a modest £50m with which to plunder the likes of Franck Ribery and Valencia’s Spain striker David Villa. They also claim Ancelotti has also authorised the sale of Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou and Deco - which is pretty quick work!
Whatever the Sun can do, the Daily Star can do double! £50m? Pah! £100m is more like it! And they even throw in the name of Andrea Pirlo, who would cost around £12m, to the melting pot.
The Guardian think that Carlo should listen to captain John Terry and snap up... hang on... Ribery and Villa? Blinding work from the England skipper there.
Don't believe them all, scream the Daily Express. Why have David Villa when you can sign Emmanuel Adebayor? After all, Ancelotti wanted to sign the Arsenal man when he was at Milan, so why wouldn't he sign him when he joins Chelsea?
£23m might land the Togo international, say the paper; while if they're feeling brave, a £50m bid for Argentine Sergio Aguero could also be on the cards.
The Independent doesn't care though. It's all pointless speculation, as Ancelotti is actually off to Madrid. Where of course he'll sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane, Pele and the guy who played really well in all the GOAL films.
Moving away from the Bridge, Newcastle have been in the news again as Mike Ashley puts the club up for sale. Has this got anything to do with Alan Shearer? We hope so, but the Guardian reckon he'll have to cut down his demands if he wants to take on the manager's job full-time.
The Daily Express think he'll become the second Messiah walk out on the club because of Ashley, unless the owner is able to sell the club sharpish. It'd be interesting to know where Ash's 'King Kev' shirt has gone - probably in the same bin as his 'Smith' one.
Steve Bruce looks set to become the new Sunderland boss and the Daily Mirror reckon it'll happen right away. So it'll only cost £3m in compensation to anger all the fans at the Staduim of Light for putting a Geordie in charge.
The Guardian are not sure the deal will happen, but are rather amused by all the Roberto Mancini talk, as they have little idea where the story came from. Much like the Italian.
Rounding up the day's transfer tattle from various outlets, we have a sprinking of Christian Benitez for £6.25m from Mexican club Santos Leguna. Steve Bruce is keen, but the Ecuador international might move to Birmingham - who are also after Man City's Joe Hart. West Brom are keen on Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson and will bid £1m for the Scotsman and Lucas Neill looks set to leave the club after turning down a new one-year deal, with City circling.
If you're still follow it, Carlos Tevez's latest link is to City - for the £25m that United won't pay. But finally, we head back to Chelsea and the Independent for the reason why Florent Malouda is back to his best. Not an advanced left-wing position, not the arrival of Guus Hiddink, but the fact that he had his wisdom teeth removed. Maybe he's not quite as wise, but judging by his performance in the FA Cup final, it seems to have worked.
