Another day, another raft of headlines from the England camp in the UK’s papers... well, it is an international week.
Where once there was “Goldenballs” now there is “Crazy Man” for that is the description Fabio Capello has bestowed upon Wayne Rooney as he called on the Manchester Untied striker to curb his aggression.
Rooney was not the only player singled out for criticism as Don Fabio also tore a strip of Ashley Cole for his recent appearances on the front pages of the tabloids.
While the Daily Star claims that Capello had “fired a warning shot across the bows” of both Rooney and Cole, the Daily Express claim the rebuke aimed at Rooney was a “light-hearted reminder of his responsibilities.”
The Times report that Capello issued his “stern warning” to the England players over their conduct on and off the pitch, and rounded on Rooney because of his reaction to being sent of at Fulham.
It is a great story covered in detail by every paper, from the likes of the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror to the more cerebral The Independent and The Guardian.
In other England news the hoo hah surrounding Ledley King predictably shows no signs of leaving us all alone.
In The Guardian it is reported that King feels “dismayed and bewildered” over his call-up but remains determined to play for England in the future and is absolutely not considering international retirement.
The Daily Telegraph suggest that Tottenham have tentatively offered an olive branch to Capello and indicated they would be open to the idea of King seeing a knee specialist of England’s choosing, presumably safe in the knowledge that they will discover what the club already know: he has no cartilage in his knee.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp struck a more conciliatory tone in The Sun saying “I would love to see [King] playing for England at the World Cup finals. I will even drive Ledley to South Africa myself,” but remains insistent that the knee injury makes it impossible for King to train or play twice a week.
In other news the Daily Mirror report that Guus Hiddink is advocating a Chelsea swoop for Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, and he thinks the club could pick him up for considerably less than the £14m Spurs paid.
Any chance of Jose Mourinho returning to the Premier League in the summer are quashed in The Daily Telegraph who quote the Inter Milan boss saying he wants to stay at the San Siro for "four or five years" and build a dynasty.
In the Daily Star Wigan chairman Dave Whelan, who has previous with Mike Ashley in the business world, launched an amazing tirade against the Newcastle owner, saying “He's got no class whatsoever”.
Such comments could make negotiations interesting between the two clubs if The Sun are right that Wigan are interested in signing Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton.
And finally in other transfer news The Times report that Manchester City are linking up and audacious summer transfer raid for Barcelona’s Thierry Henry and Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery.
Many people thought that Henry and Ribery would play together next season, but pictured the Camp Nou, not Eastlands.
The same paper also link Man City with summer bids for Roque Santa Cruz and John Terry, but we’ve heard that before.

Well, Roon's still young, so will be very 'active', somewhat similar to Gerard when he's around that age. He'll mature over time, so right now, he'll be very committed. But his tantrums is a little often whenever his team is not doing well, more work on that for him.
As for King, wish him all the best for his career, hopefully someone can creates artificial cartilage and insert into his knees. I have damaged my right knee's, thus, it's very problematic after game and for the week follows, even basic walking hurts.
Mourinho, he won't leave Inter in a year, he always has unfinished business with new teams, so two years minimum each. After that, we'll see.
