Remember The Invincivles, the unbeaten Arsenal side of 2003-04 season? Now say hello to The Untouchables, because they've won the Premier League title.

In moment of what feels like unprecedented candour from Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger the oft-myopic manager has admitted that not only are Arsenal's title hopes over for the season but labelled Manchester United as "untouchable right now" and anointed then Champions in waiting.

The Guardian, The Mirror, The Telegraph and The Express all carry the comments from the architect of Arsenal's greatest success, and while it will be tough for Gunners fans to hear Wenger praise Sir Alex Ferguson's side it might be more heartening to hear that Wenger has finally accepted what we all knew was true some weeks ago: "I believe our basic target is to get into the Champions League."

In other Arsenal news The Sun report that striker Eduardo is still waiting for an apology from Martin Taylor - the Birmingham City player whose mis-timed tackle broke the Croatian's left fibula and at the same time left him with an open dislocation of the left ankle - surely one of the most painful sounding injuries ever?

The sad part of the story, for both players, is that Taylor was genuinely contrite after the incident and despite receiving death threats tried to apologise to Eduardo in person, but when he arrived at hospital he found that the Arsenal man was undergoing surgery.

As Taylor told The Sun: "It's a relief that he is back playing. I wanted to see him playing again." And in The Mail Taylor revealed how he followed Eduardo's comeback on the web.

It's just a shame that Taylor, who is clearly sorry for his role in the accident, didn't send a letter or try to call Eduardo during his convalescence, had he done so he could have avoided once again being painted as malicious and uncaring.

"Ekstra! Ekstra! Read all a Bladet!" Pardon the terrbile pun, but The Times and The Guardian seem to have read all about accusations levelled against Manchester City that they were killing football on Soccernet .

Our story, in which City's UEFA Cup opponents had a bit of a rant at the club's spending power, came courtesy of an old colleague who now works in Denmark for www.ekstrabladet.dk.

Our man gave us the story, helped us translate from the original Danish and lo the musings of FC Copenhagen coach Ståle Solbakken were reported on this website and then picked up and ran with by many venerable news outlets.

Sorry, just a bit of smug tub-thumping by us.

Taken in the actual context, Wenger seemed to be pointing at Man Utd being untouchable by his team, i.e. Arsenal do not have a hope of catching them. I'm not sure he really said anything about anyone else. But you'd have to admit as well, Man Utd have been getting only better - it is hard to see them dropping many more points this year.

To have Wenger acknowledge United's brilliance, and to concede the League (and more) to Fergie's men; that must have taken a toll on the Gunners'fans!
United's squad this time is ridiculously perfect.

Wenger is right,he has been around long enough to state the obvious and as an Arsenal fun,Injuries have cost us the title but our teams future is brighter than any team in the EPL.

asene wenger has a lot to learn from the untouchables.firstly he should try as much as possible to restrict the urge to alway sell players and he should try and listen to advise from others.
