09.01 BST The inspiration for our headline and photo above today is taken from the rumours circulating that Roberto Mancini has told the Manchester City owners he would quit if Mario Balotelli is sold. Two things we like about this - firstly, despite everything that has happened, Mancini still seems to love Balotelli like a son. It's heartwarming. Secondly, it's a pretty bolshy move to lay down the law to your billionaire owners. Good work Roberto.

09.00 BST Good morning world. Three weeks from today the transfer window will have just closed (sob, sob) but fear not as that leaves us 20 more days of gossip, rumour, tittle-tattle, hearsay....you get the picture. Alright Real Madrid. Sell Kaka to Milan and spend the money on Luka. Spurs, go buy Lloris and Damiao.

Posted by Bafa on 08/11/2012

Reports also have it that Victor Moses have passed a medical at Chelsea. That,to me,would be great news. But how true is this?

Posted by Chigz on 08/11/2012

I would really like to see a winger at Liverpool, they just sold Rodriguez and Bellamy. They really needed a good left winger!

Posted by Faichaimond on 08/11/2012

Not so sure why United want RVP that much. They're well-stocked in attack and adding another injury-prone attacker (the other being Kagawa) would be very risky. If they're looking for a marquee signing they might as well look elsewhere, especially in the CM area.

Posted by Rodrique on 08/11/2012

Okay... So now Chelsea have purchased Oscar for 25m, PSG purchased Lucas Moura for 45m.... So how realistic is the Neymar to Chelsea or Barcelona really sounding? Beats the hell out of my thoughts!

Posted by Smanga on 08/11/2012

Once again AVB has dug his grave..he hasn't made a move in the market but wants to unload defoe with adebayor too expensive..good luck

Posted by Brian on 08/11/2012

Presumably Kaka doesn't want to come to tottenham part ex for LM??

Posted by Anonymous on 08/11/2012

I am surprised and also very happy that Man City haven't signed any players - is Sheikh Mansour out of pocket??

Posted by Eddie on 08/11/2012

With all the conjecture about RVP leaving Arsenal for man U; if man u do not cough up the asking price, cash, then RVP will not be going anywhere. it is really that simple, you pays your money, you get your man

Posted by Diz on 08/11/2012

Wait.

Blackpool offered 90 pounds a week for Heskey.

And he rejected it???

Posted by Toby on 08/11/2012

Is that correct that Blackpool offered Heskey 90 pounds a week? I'd scoff at that too!

Posted by Ify on 08/11/2012

Have the feeling that RVP must surely leave. The comment on his site alone might have annoyed AW and many on the board. Even the players purchased shown that AFC are really prepared for going on without him.

Posted by Blinks on 08/11/2012

Reports have it Chelsea have had a 35 mil bid for Edinson Cavani accepted and are discussing a wage deal, but its being held up due to Cavani wanting 150 thousand a week. Any truth to this?
