The Sun: Lyon will listen to a Tottenham offer for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. A £9.5 million deal could be concluded early on next week for the in-demand France stopper, 25.... Galatasaray are stepping up their bid to sign Dimitar Berbatov. The Turkish giants are ready to table a £5million offer for Manchester United’s Bulgarian striker, 31... Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta, who has a £26m release clause but could be available for a knockdown £12m. is a target for Liverpool. Man City plan to lure Caen prodigy M’baye Niang to England.

Daily Mail: Liverpool are likely to reject West Ham's £17m bid for 23-year-old striker Andy Carroll... Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing 21-year-old defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama from Celtic... Victor Moses wants talks with manager Roberto Martinez as Wigan continue to block a move to Chelsea. Wigan have turned down three bids, the latest of £6.5m.

Daily Mirror: West Brom are tracking Villarreal defender Cristian Zapata. Zapata, a versatile full-back who can play on either flank, was watched by Albion regularly last season.... Chelsea and England star Ashley Cole is still waiting for new offer as he enters final year of deal. The Blues left-back could run his contract down and leave Stamford Bridge on a free next summer (although ESPN first brought you this news on July 6.)

08.00 BST: Well they have €65 million to spend, so AC Milan are going to be linked to a number of players over the coming month and TalkSPORT have one of the oddest. Evidently Milan are weighing up a move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards and hope to tempt him to give up sitting on the bench at Eastlands for sitting on one at the San Siro. Or perhaps he is the replacement for Thiago Silva instead?

I'd be a bit surprised at Arsenal taking anyone (meaning Sahin) on loan as it doesn't seem the kind of build for the future Wenger favors. Insurance for Wilshere (+ maybe Diaby) not actually recovering full form in the first part of the season?

How can Juventus bid 25 million for Jovetic and not on Van Persie? I think they have their bid money flopped. 25 million for Van Persie will definitely seal the deal, because that's what Arsenal are asking for.

Question - When player's contracts have a buy-out clause, does that mean the bidding club needs to pay what has already been paid to the player? Or pay what was going to paid? Some players have 65 million pound buy-out clauses and i'm not exactly sure if the bidding club needs to "buy-out" the rest of the contract or pay the club what was paid to the player.

regarding Sahin - if it's a loan deal - he's on his way to Spuds. AVB is going to lose Modric late and so he's going to start supplementing his backfield. AVB will take Sahin on loan and pick up another Mid.

Re: 1403.

Arsenal, buy Benayoun! He's skilful, experienced and was handy enough when called upon last season. Chelsea will let him go pretty cheap considering the options they now have and should well enough cover the attacking midfield positions.

Andy Carroll for 17 million pounds? what the hell are FSG and Rodgers waiting on? we already lost the 35 Million, we should take the 17 and use 12 of it the trigger Demba Ba's clause, with the remaining 5 go get a speedy flank player, first choice would be Adam Jhonson, if not a cheaper version would be Gio Dos Santos. then all we'd need is one center defender and another defensive midfield, ( fernando Gago ) would fit the bill well here as well. these are all solid acieveable buys for LFC that would see huge improvement in the squad. instead we keep chasing young c rated players or just mediocre English players. This is club football, not the English national farm team. the goal is to win club competitions, not waste our time developing a aging and flailing English squad.

With Junior Hoilett's contract finally done, I really hope he can now commit to playing for Canada to help in 2014 World Cup qualifying.

Youre telling Frank Lampard to relax on the hype of Eden Hazard...are you kidding me? He is gonna be top 5 if not top 3 best players in the EPL in his debut season without a doubt. He is incredibly quick with his pace and also with the ball at his feet, and he can one touch pass as the focal point of the attack better than anyone Ive ever seen. Has the ESPN guy who wrote that ever watched Ligue 1 during his time there? Hes the only player to ever win Ligue 1 best player twice, and hes only 21!!! The EPL are finally getting the player with low centres of gravity with immense technical skill rather than the big centre forward so they can play long ball. He could easily win World Player of the Year within the next 3-4 seasons. And you heard that here first CARDYCHELSEA

If Fulham are supposedly lining up all these moves (Arshavin, Benayoun), it seems like that means they are preparing to lose Dempsey.

Milan don't think they can afford to match Kaka's wages at Real Madrid. There is also an interesting tidbit from Marca linking Kaka to the NY Red Bulls. It could happen if Red Bulls find a swap partner for Rafa Marquez. Doesn't seem likely, but then again Julian de Guzman does a lot less (and is paid similar wages to Marquez) and he was swapped out this season. Any comment on these rumors (these wer rumors enough to be posted onto MLS's rumor central blog)?
