23.13 BST: Maxi Lopez will have a medical with Sampdoria after the Genoa club reached an agreement to take the Argentinian striker on loan with an option to buy from Catania.
23.09 BST: Don't make him angry. Hulk is getting annoyed at all the talk of a transfer. "There is no deal with Chelsea or any other club," Hulk told Lancenet. "I have four years left on my contract with Porto and I am focused on the national team. I have not spoken with anyone. As everyone knows, I do not want to get involved in such affairs because that removes your focus. My agent handles such things."
22.46 BST: Schalke chief Clemens Tonnies has revealed that the club have pulled out of a deal for Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart, paving the way for his return to Hamburg. "If we had really wanted to have him [Van der Vaart], then we would have got him," Tonnies said. "But it didn't make any sense because we were miles apart. The topic is over." Read more here.
22.14 BST: Fabio Borini's agent Marco De Marchi insisted that it is now up to the player whether or not he moves to Liverpool. De Marchi told Radio Radio: "Roma has informed us of Liverpool's interest in the boy. Now it's up to Fabio to have his say."
He added on IlSussidiario.net: "We were alerted by Roma of the existence of this deal. I cannot honestly tell you the details but, as Sabatini has already said, we're now seriously considering it. Would the player want to go to Liverpool? Honestly, I don't want to commit myself as there will be more news in the coming days. Wait for that."
21.50 BST: DONE DEAL Monaco have completed the signing of Sweden international Emir Bajrami from FC Twente on loan with an option to buy. The 24-year-old will link up with the likes of Ludovic Giuly, Jakob Poulsen and Nacer Barazite as Monaco seek to end their two-year stay in the second tier of French football under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri this season.
21.45 BST: Some reports are suggesting that Blackburn's out of contract winger Junior Hoilett is moving closer to a deal with QPR. Good signing for them if they get him.
21.11 BST: Gazzetta dello Sport seems to think that former Juventus forward Alessandro Del Piero might be on the move to Thai club Muangthong United. He is 37, but surely there are better clubs who want a player of his class?
20.42 BST: Dynamo Moscow have completed the signing of PSV midfielder Otman Bakkal on a free transfer. "After speaking to Dynamo Moscow for the first time, I was already convinced that this was a serious club," Bakkal told Dynamo's official website. "What I saw completely fulfilled my expectations. This club is ambitious and has big targets, and I think I have made an excellent choice. I am glad to be part of this club."

19.40 BST: Swansea have also cancelled the contract of midfielder Scott Donnelly by mutual consent. Donnelly joined the club in August 2010 but made just one league appearance as a substitute.
19.02 BST: Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon believes the demise of Rangers means clubs will have to tighten their purse-strings this year. "I think it (the Rangers situation) has affected everyone,'' he said. "We have just got to be careful and astute with what we try and do. We are not going to be in a position to match what has gone out of the club but we are in a position to bring some players in to strengthen it. We don't have a big squad and we need to add a few more to it and if we can do that we will be delighted.''
18.41 BST DONE DEAL MK Dons have completed the signing of Alan Smith. The former Man Utd man, who finished last season on loan at the League One club, has signed a two-year contract with Karl Robinson's side following his release from Newcastle.

16.30 BST: Here are the quotes from Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade on the fee for Stevan Jovetic: "We have always said that we do not want to sell him. However, we have an agreement with the player that we will consider offers above a certain figure," Prade said. "We will only sit down and discuss offers above €30m [£23.7m]. He has the potential to become a top player like [Roma's Francesco] Totti. We have not yet received any offers for Stevan, though."

09.15 BST: We're straight in with an update on the Oscar situation. Chelsea have tabled a bid according to the player's agent. "Chelsea did offer €25 million, but there is still no agreement between the clubs, that may happen in the next few days," Carlos Meinberg Neto told Terra. "Giuliano Bertolucci (Oscar's other agent) will travel to England to finalise the remaining details."
As usual we start the day with a round-up of all the newspaper rumours, and our main story today is the Daily Mail's report that Chelsea have won the race to sign Oscar from Internacional for a fee in the region of £30 million.
It is claimed Chelsea have outbid Spurs for the player who scored a hat-trick as Brazil won the 2011 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, beating Portugal 3-2.
And Chelsea signing Oscar paves the way for Manchester United to step up their interest in Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas.
The paper reports that Man United are prepared to pay £30 million for the wunderkind - but they face competition from Inter Milan.
He told Estadao: "When I go on the internet I see Inter, Real Madrid and I don't know who else, wanting to come for me with a truck load of money. Of course I think about it, but I can't let it go to my head."
