I am an employee of the club," he told Sky Sport Italia. "Will I stay? I think so. We'll train and then we will see. It will be the coach who decides who plays. Paper gossip unsurprisingly leads on a certain flying Dutchman at the Emirates:

The Sun: FUMING Arsenal feel Robin van Persie is plotting a move to Manchester City after he rejected a new deal... Newcastle defender Simpson could join Reading for £2m after contract talks falter... AC Milan are lining up a move for Liverpool's Andy Carroll... Fulham are chasing Holland Under-19 prodigy Chris David from FC Twente... Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is chasing Genoa defender Chico and Villarreal midfielder Jonathan de Guzman.

The Daily Mail: Manchester United hope they can beat neighbours City to the signing of Arsenal forward Robin van Persie... Spurs have made an £11m offer for for Internacional star Oscar and also want to sign Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris... Former Real Madrid star Guti, 35, is training with West Ham ahead of a potential free transfer... Norwich boss Chris Hughton is interested in Newcastle striker Nile Ranger.

The Daily Mirror: Barcelona and Real Madrid ar in the battle to sign Arsenal frontman Robin van Persie... Manchester United want to sign 19-year-old Sao Paulo striker Lucas, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Who needs Batman when you have Robin? Well, nobody, but you might need him if Robin decides to leave. Who will Arsenal sign now that Van the Man has decided to leave?

Any movements on Liverpool? Seems very quiet there.

Posted by et on 07/05/2012

Who cares. Get big money for him and buy quality. This is Arsenal's chance to show their ambitions, and by that is the expression that no player is bigger than the club. He's just one player who is world class and unlikely to repeat last season's success. Arsenal need to start thinking like a big club and stop getting bullied by hinging their future on want away stars. They should only accept those who want to wear the shirt.

Dont waste time on him. His fate just like cesc. Afterall, he wil leave!

Posted by Nik on 07/05/2012

If the Batman RVP goes to Manchester city would he real get any First team apparnces or would he just sit on the sidelines like some of the other big names that join city .

19 year old Brazilian Lucas Moura to Chelsea for £32.4mil, seriously Roman is flooded with cash. Will he played or be loaned out?

I do hope Carroll to AC Milan story is true for an English to test himself at Serie A (not a flop after all)

Posted by Udyat on 07/05/2012

This might not be huge news but as an Indian, Sunil Chhetri has signed for Sporting Lisbon B

Arsenal should let RVP to go, afterall hes not the first player that leave Asrenal. Henry left n people thought Arsenal is dead, Cesc left n people also thought Arsenal is dead. WE WILL SURVIVE WITHOUT RVP. Arsenal made so many players n will make more.

Posted by Chigz on 07/05/2012

I would love to see Liverpool buy a player like Matt Jarvis, he would be very open to a move as Wolves have been relegated. He would bring pace to the Liverpool midfield also being a Right footed player he could play as a Right Mid. Also I don't see him being much to expensive.

Posted by Odingas on 07/05/2012

One thing I can't really understand in today's football is that both player and club possess any form of loyalty. On the other hand, some clubs are unlikely to reinvest in their world class players as they should and they face losing a great player like RVP. Cesc, Nasri, Clichy, and so on after leaving Arsenal last season, they all won trophies. I'm beginning to believe the fate of these players when they want to leave for a bigger and ambitious club. It's not about money all the time, it's about honor, trophies, and respect. Arsenal is a great club with a wide history dating back to the 18th century, but I feel when new management takes over the club, Arsenal face a setback in losing quality players. Oh well, here we go again!

"Newcastle defender Simpson could join Reading for £2m after contract talks falter..."

ATTENTION Chelsea: Danny Simpson has one year left on his contract, is a proven Premier League player (and very consistent at that), and... HE'S ONLY 25! Please go for him rather than Maicon, I think it's a better fit and would apparently be cheaper too.

Posted by Shiftey on 07/05/2012

it's funny how Liverpool are linked with everyone but noone seems to be signing. Will anyone go for to Liverpool ? and why doesn't Liverpool go after players like Malouda and Berbatov. I know there old but they would add quality to the side.

If van persie wants 2 leave let him go,he feels dat all hope is lost but I promise him dat he will be ashamed & perplexed.Gunners 4 ever

Posted by scott on 07/05/2012

The odds are that RvP spends half the season injured after miraculously surviving a full season for the first time ever. Sell him now...just not to City, United or Chelsea.

Posted by ashaka efe on 07/05/2012

RVP will still stay in arsenal if only stingy man kroenke will adjust the club's financial structure to really suite big stars and also stops playing with the feeling of the fans. He should stop making money out of arsenal and giving us fourth place in return. It's obvious now, he's only interest is making money and not trophies. What will it take him to pay RVP £200,000 a week and sign bigger names to guarantee trophies. What will it take him?
Enough is enough arsenal fans must go on revolt if RVP goes cos the board will keep selling star players for money sake as long as they are not threatened especially by the fans and all we will keep getting is a push to the fourth place making wenger look like an amateur manager cos of lack of very good players.

Posted by lukaluka on 07/08/2012

its betta to be on starting line with a team with no trophy than a substitute in a team with trophy. When u play more u gain more than when u play less. Watchout RVP

Posted by akinwole akinade on 07/08/2012

what is so important in RVP. A player that scored an average of 9 goals per season for the first 6 seasons in arsenal shirt. A player that was very prone to injury. Now that he was able to score 30+ goal in a season and for the first time in arsenal jersey, he can now go out to open his mouth that the chairman together with the manager (Mr, Arsene) are of different opinion to his own on how the club should be run. When does he become the club technical director and/or scout? LET HIM GO!!!!!!

Hi guys, any news of Jack Wilshere as of late? He wasn't included in the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup and he is not included in any of the training pictures that Arsenal has up on Arsenal.com. Has he recovered from his minor knee surgery? What of the "drugs" rumors that were floating around a month or so ago? Curious to know if he will be an integral part of the 2012/2013 Arsenal squad!

Posted by LFCUSA on 07/14/2012

Glad to see Rodgers first signing is a young talented striker that didn't cost a ton of money. If Liverpool can pull of the Carroll for Dempsey and £9m switch, they've just added two goal scorers at the total cost of £2 and a target man that doesn't fit their new system.
