23.30 GMT: Is Tevez done yet? Please? No... ok then, we can expect some more transfer gossip tomorrow and presumably another story about a possible move for the Argentine.

22.43 GMT: Mark Hughes is preaching caution with his transfer plans at QPR. "I'll strive to keep the character of the group, but along the way if good players become available then that will help us stay in the Premier League, which is what we all want," he said. "I'm sure we'll be able to bring some more players in to help the guys here because it's going to be a long end to the season."

22.15 GMT: A fight is brewing. Portuguese club Maritimo claim that Sevilla's presentation of Baba Diawara was not legitimate, as they have not sanctioned the deal yet. A statement read: "Sevilla FC presented on Saturday morning, in their stadium, Maritimo's player Baba as a new footballer of that Spanish club. This is a situation which Maritimo strongly condemn, because there is no authorization whatsoever for that presentation. This makes that the 'rules of engagement' which were previously defined have been changed."

21.17 GMT: Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent says that his client would be keen on a move back to Russia with Rubin Kazan.

20.06 GMT: Catania keeper Mariano Andujar has moved to Argentine side Estudiantes on a six-month loan deal.

19.35 GMT: Confirmation that Rangers chairman Craig Whyte and his West Ham counterpart David Sullivan have been talking over top scorer Nikica Jelavic. Manager Ally McCoist said: "I spoke to Craig today and I believe Craig had a conversation with David Sullivan. But Craig was very keen to point out that absolutely no offers had been made at all. I think it was just a pretty informal chat they had."

18.56 GMT: Alessandro Del Piero, whose Juventus contract ends in the summer, has reportedly been offered a huge $5m per season contract to join Montreal Impact in the Canadian Major League.

18.45 GMT: Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill reiterated his desire to keep hold of Craig Gardner after the homesick midfielder sealed victory over Swansea in stunning style.

He said: "We want him to stay at the football club. At this moment, there has been no concrete offer. There is interest from other Premier League teams in and around that area, but there has been nothing concrete and we wouldn't want him to be leaving. I have not thought about an immediate replacement at this moment, so time is running out. We want him to stay."

18.22 GMT: Inter defender Lucio has urged the club to sign Sao Paulo playmaker Lucas rather than Brazil team-mate Neymar. "I know Lucas very well and Inter ought to run to sign him straight away. He is a wide attacker with a great deal of quality, all combined with exceptional pace. He always works hard in training and is a humble lad," the 33-year-old told Il Corriere dello Sport. "I remember during Copa America training, he'd often face Dani Alves during games between ranks and it was always a fiery battle. I think Lucas is better suited to Italian and European football than Neymar."

17.20 GMT: French international Yann M'Vila will not be leaving Rennes this month, according to this agent.

16.40 GMT: Stan Collymore on Twitter: "Rumour.Luis Suarez courted by Real Madrid.€45 million mentioned."

16.00 GMT: It is all understandably quiet on the transfers front as the Saturday matches unfurl. So, in the meanwhile, why not join Chris Murphy for goals, chat and updates. He's over here.

15.26 GMT: West Ham United have announced that James Tomkins has signed a new contract until summer 2016.

14.55 GMT: Simon Grayson has insisted Leeds United have "no intention" of selling any other players ahead of Jonny Howson's seemingly imminent departure to Norwich City.

14.00 GMT: Samir Nasri has been speaking to The Times about his move from Arsenal to Eastlands. He said: "I didn't choose Manchester City for the money. The Premier League table shows that."

13.10 GMT: Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is hoping to persuade Aston Villa to allow the Fabian Delph to spend the rest of the season on loan at Elland Road.

12.30 GMT: Portsmouth manager Michael Appleton has confirmed the signing of former Manchester City winger Kelvin Etuhu until the end of the season.

11.58 GMT: Here is the full story on reports that Tevez's switch to PSG is off.

11.30 GMT: Carlos Tevez's proposed move from Manchester City to Paris St Germain is reportedly off after talks broke down. Full story to follow...

10.48 GMT: Chelsea new boy Gary Cahill has hit back at claims he was greedy during contract talks with the Blues. He said: "It's disappointing when you see things in the press. You bite your lip because I didn't read one report that was correct. It was upsetting, but my family and the clubs knew the real situation. It was really hard (to accept the perception I was greedy) because that's the perception I got."

10.20 GMT: Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted he probably should not have allowed Emmanuel Adebayor to join Tottenham on loan this season.

09.43 GMT: Harry Redknapp has insisted Tottenham have no intention of selling midfielder Niko Kranjcar in January. Full story.

09.29 GMT: The Mirror: Chelsea have launched a £20 million bid for Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian midfielder Willian ... Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is chasing Michael Mancienne ... West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is in the race for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.

09.15 GMT: The Sun: Carlos Tevez will turn down a £10 million-a-year deal at Paris St Germain, whose football director Leonardo said: "We didn't get a deal with Tevez, maybe we never will." ... Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is against Niko Kranjcar joining QPR ... Everton are close to a £500,000 deal for Portugal Under-23 forward Eder ... Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has rejecte claims Newcastle new boy Papiss Cisse snubbed a move to Wearside.

09.00 GMT: Good morning. Happy Saturday to you. Newspaper round-up to follow, once we have rubbed the sleepy dust from our eyes.

I mean really?
20 million for Willian!?! He may be good but if Mata is worth 25 million then Willian should be worth not more than 15 million.
Anyways any news about Eden Hazard coming to Chelsea ?

I implore Chelsea to buy Eden Hazard, or at the very least someone to spark a creative edge in the midfield
