23.59 GMT: That's all folks. Join us again once more tomorrow when we might find out who gets to spend QPR's cash this month.

23.31 GMT: Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta has opted to join Dijon on loan after weighing up his options and a move is almost complete. Remember all that fuss about him when he signed for the Blues? Seems like he hasn't really cut the mustard at Stamford Bridge.

22.47 GMT: Junior Hoilett could be set to leave Blackburn this January and Tottenham have been sniffing around. However, Bolton have now joined the hunt for the midfielder and could be willing to pay up to £8 million to bring him in.

22.00 GMT: Championship side Reading are lining up a move for Shamrock Rovers striker Karl Sheppard, according to Sky Sports. The 20-year-old spent three years at Everton before moving to Ireland.

21.45 GMT: Ledley King and Willam Gallas are both out injured, so Tottenham may have to dip into the transfer market for another defender. Harry is a known admirer of Gary Cahill, so could he be set to pounce to pluck him out of the clutches of Chelsea?

21.12 GMT: At the age of 26, Barcelona B striker Jonathan Soriano must be getting a little tired of not being able to make his name in a first-team. Therefore, he might be pleased to note that O JOGO reports Benfica are interested in signing him.

20.53 GMT: Ukrainian side Dnipro have rejected an offer from Fulham to sign their Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng.

20.02 GMT: Ipswich Town have completed the loan signing of Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

19.35 GMT: Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Marco Reus has explained why he chose Borussia Dortmund over Bayern Munich, claiming the Westphalians are more likely to be successful than the Bavarians. He rejected claims from Munich that he chose not to move to them out of fear he would not play regularly by saying that he just does not think they are good enough for him.

"If they want to think that, then let them think it - it does not bother me,'' he said. "I decided this way because I feel there is more potential (in Dortmund) for playing in Europe and measuring myself against the best. In my eyes, Dortmund are the better club.''

18.44 GMT: Eric Abidal is believed to be a possible target for Arsenal as they look for a full-back on loan.

17.57 GMT: Rangers boss Ally McCoist says St Johnstone's Francisco Sandaza is just one of his target. "I'll have a chat with Craig [Whyte] and see where we are on that one," McCoist said of 27-year-old Sandaza. "He is just one of a number of forwards that I'm really, really interested in."

17.14 GMT: Spurs midfieldeer Niko Kranjcar says he will not be leaving this month:"I still believe my future is here,'' Kranjcar said. "I know the next few months I want to stay, get in shape and hopefully have a good Euro 2012."

16.38 GMT: Bolton boss Owen Coyle insists skipper Kevin Davies is going nowhere in January despite the skipper losing his place: "We will absolutely not sell Kevin in the window,. He is a terrific player who has a big role to play for us in the future. He is desperate to return to the level of last year when he was playing for England."

16.21 GMT: Swansea have confirmed they want Josh McEachran on loan from Chelsea: “We’ve enquired about him,” said first-team coach Colin Pascoe. “We want him, he’ll suit us and hopefully he’ll come to us.”

15.48 GMT: Lyon's Aly Cissokho is a reported target for Arsenal but Arsene Wenger has said: "At the moment nothing, we don't have a concrete case but we don't rule it out. A loan defender is the likely scenario."

15.05 GMT: James Tomkins is on the bench for West Ham at Sheffield Wednesday today. If he is not used it could fuel rumours of a move to the Premier League.

14.16 GMT: Chris Hughton believes in-demand young Birmingham winger Nathan Redmond should stay at St Andrew's to further his development as a player.

12.00 GMT: BREAKING NEWS: Paul Scholes has signed for Manchester United until the end of the season.

11.25 GMT: Fiorentina have Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh on their wanted list.

11.01 GMT: Raul, out of contract at Schalke this summer, wants to begin talks over a new deal.

10.23 GMT: Harry Redknapp says he still expects Giovani Dos Santos to leave Tottenham despite his Man of the Match performance against Cheltenham in the FA Cup.

10.14 GMT: Nyron Nosworthy's loan spell with Watford ends today - the defender will return to Sunderland.

The not-so surprising rumour from the Sunday morning papers sees Wayne Rooney linked with a £60 million move from Manchester United to Manchester City.
