On a loan bid for Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran: “It's something we thought about - but I'm not sure we're going to do it.”
On Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yong: “I think that one would be not happening because we can't add to the wage bill.”
On QPR’s reported interest in James Collins: “Neil (Warnock) has not called me. Maybe the chief executives have spoken, but I've certainly not had any contact with Neil. Normally there are manager's courtesy calls and I've heard nothing. I've no plans to sell anybody.”
23.47 GMT: AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi, 38, isn’t planning to leave the club this month despite being told he isn’t mart of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans. “I know what I must do: work,” Inzaghi said. "I am fine and I want to play. I love this shirt too much to think about leaving."
23.42 GMT: While Inter have been in England to talk to Man City about Carlos Tevez, they've been quick to dismiss suggestions there was any discussion over Wesley Sneijder's future. “In no way, and entirely down to our own wishes, did we discuss Sneijder in today’s meeting in London with Manchester City directors," Marco Branca said on the club's official website.
23.21 GMT: Another Gary Cahill update: Goal.com says he's demanding £100k a week and a £4 million signing-on fee if he's to join Chelsea. Sounds like he doesn't really want this deal to go through.

I hope Owen Coyle has someone to replace him as, if they go down, the £7 million they would get from Cahill would seem like peanuts.”
19.36 GMT: Bayern Munich forward Ivica Olic is out of contract at the end of the season, and Lazio could offer him €2 million a season in the summer as a result. Bayern have ruled out a January exit and are hoping Olic will agree an extension.

Even if there was contact, we would not entertain that. We wouldn't want to entertain selling our top scorer of last season. He is a prolific marksman."
18.49 GMT: Sochaux have revealed that Maurice Edu is their top midfield target this month, though reports suggest an offer of £500,000 has already been rejected for the American midfielder.
