Reader's comment: That's just unprofessional by Blackburn. It's their right to ask for their loaned money back but not this way. Just because a player wants to leave you, it doesn't give you the right to try and halt the transfer by using such cheap tactics.

Slim pickings in Tuesday morning's newspapers as far as transfers are concerned. The Carlos TeveZzzzzzz transfer rumbles on and yet more clubs have joined the chase for Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian's old club, Bayer Leverkusen, has been joined by Russian duo CSKA Moscow and Anzhi Makhachkala, plus Bayern Munich. The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and his future was cast in doubt when he was pictured on a flight to Frankfurt.

Comment from Toyboy Tim: I'm getting quite angry at this Berbatov stuff! Stats speak for him and if Ferguson is so stupid as to not give him any first team football then Berbatov should go. He'd be great in any league at any club and still has at least three good seasons ahead of him.

The Sun focus on Mark Hughes' recruitment drive at QPR and report that Brazilian star Henrique is on the way to Loftus Road. "I know a lot of clubs are interested in me," the 20-year-old is quoted as saying. "But when I spoke to Mark Hughes and QPR, they made me feel very excited about their plans."

Morning. Am getting quite angry at this Berbatov stuff! stats speak for him and if ferguson is so stupid and not giving him any first team football then berbatov should go. He'd be great in any league at any club and still has at least 3 good seasons ahead of him

Is this Tevez or his wife that insist the move to Milan? Come one, PSG is offering life in a beautiful city and get paid 8 mil pounds per year! As for Berbatov, Liverpool can use him, if Kenny can con Fergie to swap Berbatov with Carroll.

That's just unprofessional by Blackburn. It's their right to ask for their loaned money back but not this way. Just because a player wants to leave you, it doesn't give you the right to try and halt the transfer by using such cheap tactics. It's just sick.

Manchester United should go for Graham and Lorente

Posted by richard on 01/17/2012

I thought Sir Alex always dreamed of having four top strikers. With Chicha and Welbeck showing injury vulnerability, letting Berba go may be a suicidal decision by alex after failing to swap for Wesley during the summer window

Posted by Jake on 01/17/2012

Hah, I hope the Arsenal staff have enough sense to take less than 7 days to sell the squid

Posted by Sam on 01/17/2012

Posted by Daniboy on 01/17/2012

I hope ferguson keeps berbatov because that guy has class. It will be a shame to let such a player when we don't have someone better than him, except Rooney. Chicharito is not yet at his best.

Posted by Link on 01/17/2012

I have been seeing a lot of speculation about LFC linked with "baby drogba", (although I heard of two of those this past summer soulymane and lukaku) and other links of LFC and Moussa Sow or Demba Ba but has LFC actually progressed any of these links? Our game against stoke showed our biggest flaw in bold CAPTIAL letters. We have no teeth right now. If the real Drogba is on the way out could we not get 2 years out of him? Where does the club stand with bringing in ANYONE? Could we pry away Pavlyuchenko for a REASONABLE price?

Posted by Ryan on 01/17/2012

So Arsenal are interested in RVP's son? Is this Wenger holding him hostage so RVP doesn't go to City then?

Posted by Adam on 01/17/2012

Someone WANTS Squillaci?!!! "Now get back in there and sell, sell, sell!"

Posted by Sisebe on 01/17/2012

Chelsea should go 4 hazard and cavani 4 a beta 2moro.

Posted by Mike on 01/17/2012

I agree on Cavani... He might be one of the Under 25 forwards in Europe right now. If they were selling him I'd think all the big clubs would be interested - even clubs like Barca.

Posted by Mark on 01/17/2012

I think Sir Alex should keep Berby because his a good quality player. He also have the experience wit alongside Rooney.......added to that is Wellback,Hernandez gives us the "PERFECT FOUR".Glory Glory Man United.

l strongly believe ARSENE WENGER,will use this window to beef up his team. we gunner's fans are sick of trophies. At lest one would be something beautiful.

Posted by Martin W. Browne on 01/17/2012

Kenny is still acting stubborn in entering the transfer market to get a prolific striker. Liverpool is struggling because Carroll who should be punching the goals always foaming over his own ball. We have a serious problem that Kenny knows much about, but he's ignoring it. There is a serious goals drought at Anfield. Their is no want there to score if the midfield don't struggle.

Posted by mancityfan on 01/17/2012

Cavani to Liverpool seems like the obvious solution for their lack of goals, and for a player of his quality he should come rather cheap. Cavani could mean champ. leauge for liv.

Posted by David on 01/17/2012

It gutted me when Torres submitted his transfer request last year, and I still wonder what could have been of a Suarez/Torres partnership. But I take great pride in the fact that Liverpool acquiesced to his wishes and didn't keep a player that didn't want to be at the club. If a player wants to leave, he should leave.
