22.47 GMT Everton are reportedly eyeing a move Sporting Lisbon playmaker Adrien Silva, who has been playing on loan Academica.

21.59 GMT Liverpool have now agreed an £830,000 deal for Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira, according to the Daily Mail.

20.24 GMT AC Milan's floundering bid to sign want-away Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is expected to "go to the wire" as the Serie A Side put together a revised deal.

17.32 GMT Olympique Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta insists there has been no approach from Chelsea but would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge if a bid was lodged.

17.19 GMT We said earlier that Southampton are set to go all out to sign Gary Hooper from Celtic. Well the latest rumour is that they may treble their initial bid to £6 million.

16.28 GMT Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has revealed that only one club, QPR, have made a bid for wantaway defender Chris Samba, despite talk of moves from Tottenham and Paris St Germain. FULL STORY.

16.11 GMT 20-year-old Serbian striker Danijel Aleksic has signed for AS Saint-Etienne on a three and a half year contract.

15.59 GMT Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta has been linked with a move to Chelsea and has spoken about the reports without actually dismissing them: "For me, these are only rumors. There was no contact, and I am still contracted to OM until 2014. Now, if Chelsea want me, they must first discuss with the OM."

15.44 GMT Riccardo Montolivo's agent says he is not expecting the Fiorentina midfielder to join AC Milan in the transfer window. Carlo Pallavicino told Lady Radio: "As far as I know, there has been no type of request at all from the Rossoneri during this period. It’s true that there are still 10 days to go in the transfer market, but an operation of this kind would take some time."

15.31 GMT Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola claims his client is happy in Manchester. "Mario has no intention of leaving City. He has started to understand certain systems on how to get along there," he told Sky Sport Italia. "Strangely for him, he is admitting that Manchester isn't as bad as he thought or said. Is Milan a better city? It depends on your point of view, but right now Manchester is better for him."

15.14 GMT Lecce have announced the sale of Algerian international midfielder Djamel Mesbah to AC Milan on a permanent transfer. A statement from Lecce read: "Lecce announces it has sold Algerian midfielder Djamel Mesbah to AC Milan on a permanent transfer. In the same transaction, the Salentini club has brought to an end the loan move of midfielder Rodney Strasser, who returns to Milan, and acquired half of the sporting rights of striker David Speziale, who will wear the Lecce colours from next season.''

15.03 GMT Bundesliga side Wolfsburg could be set to reignite their interest in Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and are believed to be ready to offer Everton around £5 million for the winger.

14.42 GMT Alex McLeish says he wouldn't be opposed to allowing Fabian Delph leave Aston Villa on loan. Leeds are interested and he told the Birmingham Mail: "Fabian is one we might think about going out on loan. (Leeds manager) Simon Grayson did try to call me (about Delph) but I've not spoken to him yet."

14.34 GMT Update from earlier, Hannover sporting director Jorg Schmadtke says that he is in negotiations with Manchester United's Mame Biram Diouf. "There have been discussions with his agent. We have shared our thoughts. I am now waiting for a response," Schmadke told Bild. "He is fast, robust, and direct."

14.26 GMT Genoa have signed striker Giuseppe Sculli from Lazio for an undisclosed fee. The 30-year-old returns to his former club one year after being sold for a reported €3 million. A statement from the club read: "Beppe Sculli returns to Genoa, where he played from 2006 until 2011. He has strongly wanted this move and the agreement between the clubs has been
reached.''

14.15 GMT Veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has signed a new deal with Fulham until 2013. Now Arsenal aren't interested anymore, that's probably best.

14.13 GMT Defender Aaron Brown he told BBC Tees he had to end his time with troubled Darlington so he could find a deal to help support his family after months without pay.

13.55 GMT Manchester City loanee John Guidetti seems to be staying on loan at Feyenoord for the foreseeable future, despite rumoured interest from other clubs. "The transfer market is open until the end of January, you never know what will happen," he told NUSport. "Nothing is impossible. If I say I'm staying and then two weeks later I leave, that makes me the biggest a**hole in the world. So I'm not saying anything. If the opportunity of a lifetime comes along, I'll grab it. But I have no concrete evidence that such a transfer is coming, so probably not."

13.40 GMT Peter Ramage has left Crystal Palace and gone back to QPR at the end of his loan spell in south London.

13.21 GMT Liverpool have agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon, close to £1 million, to sign one of their most talented young academy players: 19-year-old Joao Carlos who has been likened to Deco.

13.07 GMT Former AC Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi believes Alexandre Pato should have left the Rossoneri when he had the chance: “Pato is a great player, but he would have made a better decision had he left Milan."

12.59 GMT A right-back at Arsenal should be a cherished creature, but Barnet have signed Sead Hajrovic on a one-month loan deal. The Switzerland Under-18 captain has been a regular for the Gunners reserves, but is not ready for the first-team just yet and has been allowed to move. He told the Bees' website: "This has come out of the blue. I am looking forward to first-team football."

12.42 GMT Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't be moving anywhere ever again if you believe his agent Mino Raiola, who told Sky Sport 1: “He wants to end his career with AC Milan because he is well and has a good relationship with the club."

12.31 GMT DONE DEAL: Celtic defender Josh Thompson has joined League One side Chesterfield on loan until the end of the season.

12.22 GMT Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka is unhappy but his agent has scotched rumours of a move to Juventus. "I am aware of the news about Corluka's possible move to Juventus, but they are just rumours around the player," Nikky-Arthur Vuksanha told calciomercato. "In any case, well for the moment at least, he will not be going to Juve."

12.03 GMT Josh McEachran has spoken more about his move to Swansea City on loan from Chelsea. "I'm delighted to be here to be honest,'" he told Swansea's official website. "I wanted to come earlier, but Chelsea had a few injuries and things. The manager [Brendan Rodgers] also had a big impact on my decision. I've known him from his Chelsea days and I think he is a fantastic manager. He's got the team playing well. I watched the Arsenal [v Swansea] game on TV and they did really, really well."

11.37 GMT Busy times at the Cottage creche. Quoth their official website: "Fulham FC can confirm the signing of highly rated Danish U17 international Lasse Vigen Christensen from FC Midjtylland. The midfielder has signed a professional contract with FFC that will see the player remain at Craven Cottage until the 30th June 2014."

11.27 GMT Bild in Germany are linking Manchester United misfit Mame Biram Diouf. Hannover 96 to pay 4 million euros is the talk. Good deal for United, we say. They say Sunderland and Everton are no longer interested. We are not surprised.

11.15 GMT The agent of Inter Milan midfielder Thiago Motta has brushed aside speculation linking his client with a move to Paris St Germain in the January transfer window. Motta's agent Dario Canovi told tuttomercatoweb.it: "There has been no contact with Paris St Germain. He will remain at Inter even though his contract expires in 2013."

10.56 GMT: Sunderland striker Ryan Noble has signed for Championship outfit Derby County on an initial one-month loan deal.

10.46 GMT DONE DEAL: "Fulham FC can today confirm the signing of Aberdeen midfielder, Jack Grimmer, on a professional contract that will see the player remain at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2015." Grimmer is 17, and was Aberdeen's youngest player in the SPL nearly two years ago. One for the future.

10.41 GMT Juventus striker Amauri has claimed to be in the process of negotiating a move to fellow Serie A club Fiorentina."I hope everything could soon be close," Amauri told Lady Radio. "You know well what is happening. "The two clubs are talking and I hope it could be solved as soon as possible. I hope soon to know the developments of the negotiations. Then we will see what will happen."

10.28 GMT Couple of goalkeeping links. Daily Mirror says QPR want Spurs' Heurelho Gomes to be good and then bad, while the Daily Mail says that Spurs want Newcastle's Tim Krul, when Brad Friedel retires at 100.

10.05 GMT Rangers veteran David Weir, 41, is being linked with an emotional return to Goodison Park as David Moyes looks for defensive cover. Weir is set to be released today by Rangers having not played a single match for them this season in the SPL, and just 28 minutes back in August in the Champions League.

09.58 GMT: Jordi Alba has reaffirmed his commitment to Valencia, as Barcelona continue to be linked with the attacking full-back. "I've always said I'm very happy here; my intention is to continue here for many years and I have never went against that statement," he told AS.

09.56 GMT Luton Town have seen three of their highly-rated youngsters move to Premier League giants Chelsea, says the Leighton Buzzard Observer. Brothers Rio, Cole and Jay Dasilva have signed terms with the Blues in separate transfers, each worth five figures, which will in total net the Town a significant sum. For the record, twins Rio and Cole, are 12, and older brother Jay is 13.

09.32 GMT Jermain Defoe has reaffirmed his desire to secure regular football, but has insisted he has never asked to leave Tottenham. 08.24 GMT Sneijder to stay at Inter shocker. Soren Lerby of the opinion that no deal will be done during the current window. "I really think that Wesley will remain at Inter, because a few weeks ago he said he was 90 per cent sure that he would stay," says Soren Lerby, a decent midfielder in his day to calciomercato.com. "Why didn't he say 100 per cent? He wasn't trying to hide any problems he has with the club or the coach, or any offers from other clubs.
