16.12: Has Arsene Wenger given a guarded hint that he will indeed be signing a certain Bolton Wanderers defender? He said: "At the moment, I cannot come out with any name. I think Gary Cahill is a very good player, but I cannot tell you more."

15.14: Galatasaray have made a trio of signings this Friday. Goalkeeper Robinson Zapata and striker Bogdan Stancu have moved from Steaua Bucharest, while Kas?mpasa SK midfielder Yekta Kurtulus has moved there too.
15.02: Following on from the news of the Aaron Ramsey loan to Cardiff, Carlos Vela and Henri Lansbury are also confirmed to be going out on loan. "I am considering to give Ramsey one month out on loan, with a possibility of him going to Cardiff,” said Wenger. “I don’t want [Ramsey] to go to a Premier League club because I want him to finish the season with us. I just look for competition for him. There is much interest in [Vela] for a loan, that is what I want to do. We have plenty of clubs who are interested in him. At the end of the day I look for a guarantee [that he will play]. For him, he has as well to agree to join the club who wants him."

14.02: Ian Holloway has revealed that his hopes of signing George Boyd and Craig Mackail-Smith from Peterborough United could fail. "We were only offered £3.5million for Charlie Adam. Peterborough want that for two lads who were in a team that got relegated from the Championship," said Holloway, quoted in the Blackpool Gazette. "I don't mean that as an insult at all but I'm saying let's have a look at reality.
13.51: It looks like Roman Pavlyuchenko could leave Spurs, as he is concerned about dropping down the pecking order should they make new signings up front. He has also turned down contract offers. He told Sport Express: "The proposed conditions do not suit me yet. The amount became a bit more, but not as much as I want. But this is not the only reason I have taken a pause - I want to see what else will happen before the transfer window closes."
13.40: Liverpool defender Steven Irwin has started a trial with SPL side Aberdeen and could be on the move before the end of the month.

12.45: Italy World Cup goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has been told he can leave Serie A side Cagliari after the player had been banished from the club at the start of the season for comments made to the press. He is like to join Genoa.
12.42: Liverpool transfer supremo Damien Comolli has confirmed the club are interested in signing Luis Suarez and Ashley Young. "We are looking primarily for an attacking player with pace because the team is short on pace," Comolli told Canal+Sport. "And as far as Suarez is concerned, at the moment there is no dialogue with Ajax. He is one of the players we are interested in. Will he be available in January? This is another story. For Young, if he is on the market then we will be interested. But I don't believe that is the case."
12.34: We're hearing whispers that Stephen Ireland is to leave Aston Villa after just six months and join Newcastle United on loan for the rest of the season. What a terrible move that has been for the former Man City man.
12.26: Malaga are expected to completed the signing of River Plate midfielder Diego Buonanotte later on Friday. He will move for a fee of around £3.5m.

11.40: Sampdoria are locked in talks to sign Pasquale Foggia from Lazio.
11.34: Keisuke Honda, the Japan midfielder, says he wants a move to La Liga rather than the Premier League when it opts to leave CSKA Moscow, according to his agent.
11.31: Marco Ramos has left Lens, with the defender moving to Portugal to sign for Braga for an undiscosed fee.
11.26: Championship side Millwall have signed Darren Purse following his release by Sheffield Wednesday.
