  • Harris: Football agents facing a cold January

    17.11 Birmingham City have had a bid for striker Roman Pavlyuchenko rejected by Tottenham Hotpsur.

    17.09 West Brom have confirmed that Paul Robinson has converted his loan spell at Premier League side Bolton into a permanent deal.

    16.32 Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has ruled himself out of the race to sign Sunderland's Kenwyne Jones, claiming the striker is out of his price range.

    16.25 Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has completed a deal to take Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan until the end of the season.

    15.42 Valencia midfielder Manuel Fernandes is set to go on loan to Inter Milan until the end of the season, according to Marca.

    15.32 Highly-rated Wigan Atheltic defender Maynor Figueroa ahs signed a new deal to keep him at the club until 2012.

    15.27 Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Grasshopper for the permanent transfer of Swiss striker Haris Seferovic, the Italian club have confirmed.

    15.16 Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini will leave it to Benjani to decide whether he wants to leave Eastlands after Sunderland opened negotiations.

    15.07 Portuguese side FC Porto have completed the signing of Brazilian forward Kleber from Cruzeiro for a fee of €5.5 million.

    14.28 Roma striker Stefano Okaka is to undergoing a medical at Fulham ahead of completing a move move to the Premier League club.

    14.20 Barcelona have €100 million to buy a winger and Arsenal's Cesc Fabragas in the next transfer window, according to Sport. Apparently, Cesc has already accepted the terms on offer at the Camp Nou.

    14.15 Leeds United have signed Gary McSheffrey on loan from Birmingham City until the end of the season.

    14.00 Burnley have completed the signing of left-back Danny Fox from Celtic while Hoops captain Stephen McManus has joined Middlesbrough on loan.

    13.15 Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has joined Portsmouth on loan until the end of the season, both clubs have confirmed.

    12.48 Bacary Sagna's agent claims Inter Milan could swoop for the Arsenal defender, should Maicon leave to join Real Madrid. "Sagna has attracted big interest from Inter Milan," Christophe Mongai told Le Quotidien du Foot.

    12.31 Sporting Lisbon have agreed a fee, reported to be around £1.5 million, with Glasgow Rangers to take Pedro Mendes back to Portugal. Mendes previously played for FC Porto.

    11.03 Arsene Wenger says he believes Arsenal's January transfer business is now closed after missing out on Chris Smalling.

    10.59 Serie a side Palermo have confirmed their interest in West Ham's Swiss international Valon Behrami. Club president Maurizio Zamparini told stadionews: "The negotiation is difficult and complicated, especially for the salary the player receives in the Premier League. Behrami is a very good player."

    10.48 Newcastle United have signed QPR defender Fitz Hall on loan until the end of the season along with Chelsea starlet Patrick van Aanholt.

    10.15 Al-Ittihad have rejected a bid from Premier League side Fulham for Egypt striker Mohamed Nagy.

    09.00 Lens striker Aruna Didane has agreed a £3 million transfer deal with Birmingham City. Didane spent the first-half of the season on loan at Portsmouth.

    08.45 Middlesbrough have slapped a £9 million price tag on Adam Johnson with Manchester City reportedly closing in on the winger, according to the Daily Mail.

    08.30 Hull City manager Phil Brown has refuted earlier reports that his entire squad will be put up for sale and insisted there will be no "fire sale'' as the Tigers attempt to arrest their financial problems.

    Daily Mail: Sunderland have made a £1.5 million bid for Manchester City striker Benjani, while Crystal Palace's administrators are considering bids from Championship top three Newcastle, Forest and West Brom for starlet Victor Moses.

    The Sun: AWOL Manchester United midfielder Anderson is set to join Lyon this weekend, while West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is going to try to tempt David Bentley away from Tottenham on loan. Meanwhile, City have been told to up their bid for Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago to £15 million.

    Daily Star: Hull have made their entire squad available for transfer as new chairman Adam Pearson looks to ease the club's financial worries.

    The Guardian: Celtic boss Tony Mowbray will be given funds for a centre-back and a striker, with Preston and Ireland defender Sean St Ledger the main target.

    Whoa, where did that piece about Cesc setting up an agreement at Nou Camp come from? I know it's for next window, but seriously? He is the heart and soul of Arsenal.
    Plus, I'm upset Wenger is not going to get anybody...

    Chelsea should revamp its attack and sell Anelka & Drogba who are both on the wrong side of 30. Dzeko and Balotelli would be an ideal striker duo for Chelsea and if anyone can make that happen its Ambramovich.
