22.02: Valencia midfielder Manuel Fernandes is expected to be unveiled as an Inter player within the next 24 hours, according to reports in Italy.
21.42: Fiorentina are already preparing for life without Adrian Mutu and have picked out Roma’s Jeremy Menez as their ideal replacement for the Romanian.
21.08: Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie has suggested he was left out of negotiations with Tottenham over the sale of Younes Kaboul.
20.36: According to Sky Sport Italia, a meeting has taken place between Juventus and the legal team of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez. Not sure about this one at all...
19.54: Crystal Palace administrators are considering bids from Newcastle, West Brom and Nottingham Forest for Victor Moses. £5 million would go a long way at that club.
19.04: BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United have confirmed Chris Smalling will join them this summer on a four-year contract from Fulham.
18.41: Inter are considering turning their attentions to Parma midfielder McDonald Mariga after failing to capture Lazio's Cristian Ledesma, according to tuttomercatoweb.
18.06: Looks like 'Boro winger Adam Johnson is going to Man City, as he wants permission to speak to the Eastlands club.
17.59: Joel Thomas has rejoined Hamilton on loan following his summer move to Colchester.
17.49: Sao Paulo's Hernanes could be on Real Madrid's transfer wishlist if los Blancos are able to strike a deal with Manchester City regarding the exit of Argentinian midfielder Fernando Gago.
17.30: Sheffield United midfielder James Harper has made his loan move from Reading permanent.
17.15: Birmingham have agreed a £4 million deal for Aruna Dindane with Lens. Pulling the rug out from the under the feet of Pompey, who have him on loan.
16.57: Roma full-back Cicinho has admitted that he is likely to stay at Roma at least until the end of the season, despite interest from Brazil.
16.08: BREAKING NEWS: Robinho has left City to join Santos on a six-month loan deal. City fans won't be sad to see him go. Manager Roberto Mancini has not seen too much of him since he took over, but he said: "Robinho is someone who needs to be playing regularly and we wish him well for the period of his loan."
16.02 Al Ahly striker Emad Motaeb is attracting interest from Portsmouth with a view to signing him for the next six months on loan.
15.36 Tottenham Hotspur have turned down a bid from Premier League rivals Birmingham City for Roman Pavlyuchenko, despite having five strikers at the club.
15.05: Skysports.com is reporting that Fulham are reviving their interest in Roma striker Stefano Okaka.
15.00: Villarreal's Sebastian Eguren has joined Lazio on loan until the end of the season.
14.20: The talk of Adrian Mutu joining City always seemed fairly unliklely but it's now set to be downright impossible - reports are coming in that the Fiorentina striker has failed a drugs test. Again.
14.00: Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has indicated he is keen to draft in a right-back before the transfer window closes due to Glen Johnson's injury problems. Rafa told the Liverpool Echo:
"There are not too many good players around who are available and we will think about it. We still have some time but we will not rush if we cannot find the right player for this position."
13.40: Voetbal International is reporting that West Brom are set to sign striker Andwele Slory from Feyenoord.
13.35: The Hull Daily Mail reports that Hull are going to have rejected yet another bid from Wolves for Stephen Hunt. It'll be going in after the teams meet on Saturday, apparently.
13.32: Liverpool striker Nathan Ecclestone has joined League One side Huddersfield on loan until March.
13.30: Morten Gamst Pedersen has told Nettavisen he wouldn't mind leaving Blackburn for Turkish side Fenerbahce.
"Fenerbahce is an appealing option. It is a massive club and they play regularly in the Champions League."
13.15 Harry Redknapp is eager to bring Younes Kaboul back to Tottenham Hotspur and is in advanced talks with Portsmouth regarding the defender.
12.40 Premier League transfer target Bojan will not be leaving Barcelona in the January transfer window, according to agent Zoran Vekic. "There is no option of leaving in the winter market," Vekic told Soccernet. "In June we will re-evaluate the situation."
11.57 Portsmouth striker David Nugent will spend the remainder of the season at Burnley after the club confirmed they have formally activated an extension to his loan deal.
11.53 Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has been offered £2.6 million a year (after tax) by Juventus to transfer his services to Serie A, according to a report in The Independent.
11.36 Bolton Wanderes manager Owen Coyle has confirmed he is still trying to hammer out a loan deal for Arsenal starlet Jack Wilshire.
10.58 According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport West Ham United are eager to sign Palermo's Brazilian goalkeeper Rubinho
10.40 It seems like Tottenham Hotspur have poached Eidur Gudjohnsen from under the noses of West Ham United and the Monaco striker has signed on loan from for the remainder of the season.
10.20 Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan expects highly-rated winger Adam Johnson to stay at the club despite interest from a number of Premier League sides - including a £5 million bid form Manchester City. Strachan said: "We have had verbal offers in the last week for Adam, but nothing has changed. Adam is still here and I would expect him still to be here for the last 19 games of the season.''
09.43 We told you on Wednesday that Giovani Dos Santos had left Tottenham Hotspur to join Galatasaray and the transfer has now been confirmed.
09.24: The Liverpool Echo is reporting this morning that Liverpool are not done in the transfer market and that Rafa Benitez is still hoping to sign a new right back. That could be one to watch.
09.05: There has been a lot of chat about Maynor Figueroa in January and Roberto Martinez is none too happy about it. He has labelled the speculation "disgusting". Strong stuff from the Spaniard.

Daily Mail: Tottenham have turned down an £8 million offer from Birmingham for striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, while Eidur Gudjohnsen is on his way to White Hart Lane.
The Sun: Anderson's future at Manchester United is in severe doubt after he went AWOL. The midfielder will be fined and possibly sold after heading to Brazil in an apparent attempt to arrange a move to Vasco Da Gama.
Daily Mirror: Birmingham City defender Martin Taylor will make a loan move to Newcastle United, even though the Magpies signed Mike Williamson on Wednesday.
07.50: Before we get started on the morning's newspaper rumours, we can bring you the news that Manchester City look unlikely to sign Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago. However, City have tabled an offer for Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson and could land the England Under-21 international.
