We'll be keeping you as up-to-date as possible on the latest transfer talk in On The Move. You can catch the morning newspaper gossip in Paper Round, read up on all the Latest Transfers and then follow the developing stories in our constantly updated transfer blog here:

23.59 That's all for today - see you in the morning!

23.01 Stoke hope to sign Robert Huth from Boro before the window closes, and may sell three players too.

22.19 Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has insisted Roman Pavlyuchenko is going nowhere, while Pascal Chimbonda is on the verge of joining Blackburn.

21.20 Italian press reports claim that Wesley Sneijder has agreed to move from Real Madrid to Inter Milan.

20.32 Fulham defender Fredrik Stoor is desperate to leave the club after failing to break into the team. Who?

19.59 Everton manager David Moyes expects to have at least four new faces
in his squad by the time the transfer window closes next week.

19.01 Middlesbrough striker Afonso Alves could yet be playing his football in Qatar next season. Qatari outfit Al-Saad could make a new bid to sign the misfit Brazilian forward.

18.52 Ipswich manager Roy Keane has turned his attention to former club Sunderland as attempts to strengthen his squad. Town have tabled a joint offer for midfielders Grant Leadbitter and Carlos Edwards.

18.39 Everton's Lukas Jutkiewicz has joined SPL side Motherwell on loan for the first half of the season.

18.02 Malaga have sealed a season-long loan for Inter Milan forward Victor Obinna.

17.11 Brazilian club Internacional are claiming that Tottenham have failed with a £14m offer for their midfielder Sandro. £14m? It sounds like an awful lot to us.

16.33 Further reports in Italy indicate that Inter manager Jose Mourinho has told David Suazo he does not want him to leave the club. The striker spent a spell on loan with Benfica last season.

16.14 Fiorentina have signed Italy Under-21 full back Lorenzo De Silvestri from Serie A rivals Lazio.

15.15 Crystal Palace have handed a short-term deal to former Arsenal and Southampton winger Ryan Smith, who could make his debut in Thursday's Carling Cup tie against Manchester City.

14.50 Gareth Southgate has hinted that Tuncay is close to leaving Middlesbrough after leaving the Turkish star out of his squad for the Carling Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

14.42 Spartak Moscow have declared that they are willing to re-sign Roman Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham, but only at a cut price of £10m. Can't see Daniel Levy going for that.

14.03 Reports in Spain claim that former Chelsea forward Mateja Kezman could be swapping PSG for Real Betis in the next few days.

13.12 More news arrives from Ewood Park as Aston Villa confirm that they are in talks with Blackburn regarding the signing of versatile performer Stephen Warnock.

13.02 Blackburn chairman John Williams has confirmed that the club are in talks to sign Tottenham right-back Pascal Chimbonda.

12.20 Sheffield Wednesday have placed Francis Jeffers on the transfer list after the striker appeared to punch Port Vale's Tommy Fraser in Tuesday's Carling Cup tie.

12.05 Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson says he is determined to keep hold of striker Matty Fryatt following strong interest from Hull City. The Foxes insist they have not had an approach for the player.

11.21 Reports are emerging that Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham have agreed a fee for French full-back Pascal Chimbonda. More on that when we get it.

10.54 The agent of former Arsenal forward Julio Baptista claims he is in discussions with Inter Milan over the possible transfer of the Brazilian to the Italian champions. Looks like The Beast is their back-up choice after Wesley Sneijder's decision to stay at Real Madrid.

10.54 We have more news from Portsmouth where manager Paul Hart has urged defender Sylvain Distin to remain at the club. The Frenchman is reported to be a target for Everton and Aston Villa.

10.13 Portsmouth succeeded with an offer for Watford forward Tommy Smith on Tuesday and the player is now undergoing a medical with the Premier League side.

10.13 South Korean side FC Seoul claim they have turned down an offer in the region of £2.5m from Celtic for their star player Ki Sung-yeung.

10.05 Hi Luke, thanks for the comment. Villa are still being linked with a move for Sylvain Distin but the Manchester Evening News is also reporting this morning that Richard Dunne could be heading to Villa Park. Hope that satisfies your need for transfer gossip!

09.40 Former Fulham and Coventry midfielder Julian Gray has joined Cardiff City on trial. The winger has also spent time with Sheffield United this summer and played nine times during a loan spell with the Bluebirds in 2003.

09.15 We are taking a look around the European papers on your behalf and Dutch daily De Telegraaf reports that Chelsea have dispatched scouts to watch Feyenoord midfielder Jonathan de Guzman in action. However, Valencia are also interested in the 21-year-old.

09.10 The Portsmouth News reports that Paul Hart will unveil his new signings Tommy Smith and Aruna Dindane before the game against Manchester City on Sunday. Apparently a photo of Dindane wearing a Pompey shirt has already been leaked though, oops.

09.00 Good morning and welcome to Wednesday's live transfer blog. On Tuesday night the Joleon Lescott deal finally went through to the relief of Manchester City supporters everywhere, will there be more big developments this morning? Stay with us to find out...

It seems as though Villa are concentrating on the addition of 2 or 3 defenders. Any word on how much Lerner is giving O'Neill to spend or if there will be exits to cover the costs? Also, what about the midfield? Petrov has not been impressive so far.
