16.58: Spanish paper AS are speculating over the fee for Xabi Alonso, claiming that Liverpool are demanding a fee of €40m: €35m paid up front, and €5m based on the midfielder's performances.
16.45: Colo Colo officials have revealed that an unnamed English club have expressed an interest in Gonzalo Jara. My guess? Wigan.
16.24: Arsenal target Christian Zapata has expressed his desire to stay with Udinese, despite a number of offers for a move elsewhere. “I am happy and settled to stay here in Udine,” Zapata confirmed to Calciomercato.it.
15.43: Zenit St Petersburg striker Pavel Pogrebnyak will undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move to Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart. Just a reported 4.5m euros for the Russia man, what a bargain!
14.56: AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi insists Andrea Pirlo is not on the verge of signing for Chelsea. ''They are all stories, there's no truth at all,'' he told reporters. So he'll probably sign next week.
14.36: According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan are closing in on a loan move for Real Madrid's Rafael van der Vaart, who will almost certainly leave the Bernabeu this summer.
13.55: Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says he will return for Toulouse forward Andre-Pierre Gignac next summer. “The only player we have missed is Gignac. But I hope he will be join next year, because we really want him to come,'' he said.
13.14: Stade Rennais will sign naturalised Norwegian midfielder Alexander Tettey from Norwegian side Rosenberg, if he passes a medical.
12.54: Napoli coach Roberto Donadoni is backing Ezequiel Lavezzi to silence his critics and play well for the side again if he doesn't seal a move away from the club.

11.04: No more signings? Well, Manchester United have completed the signing of French starlet Paul Pogba. Although he won't be a first-team player just yet. His old club Le Havre are not happy about it.
10.46: Roma striker Julio Baptista will not join Milan this summer, according to his agent, Herminio Menendez. "Julio will continue his adventure with Roma for a very long time," the agent told Romagiallorossa.
10.26: There is only a signature required for Andrea Pirlo to become a Chelsea player, apparently. Don't know why it's taking so long then..perhaps they can't find a pen?
09.59: Jermaine Jenas is going nowhere, as he is focused on finishing in the top-six with Tottenham.
09.37: Robinho says he tried to change Mark Hughes' mind over the sale of Elano to Galatasaray. But evidently didn't try hard enough.
09.32: Rafa Benitez is planning a move for Valencia striker David Villa with the funds generated by Xabi Alonso's £30m sale to Madrid. Evidently nonsense unless they come up with another £20m as Valencia have already been batting away offers for the striker.
09.25: Manchester United are preparing a £3.5m offer for Bursaspor striker Sercan Yildirm, according to the Daily Star.
09.15: There is speculation that Everton have bid for Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos. Which means they could be set to sell Joleon Lescott to City.
09.00: Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Claude Makelele is tipping Patrick Vieira to return to Arsenal this summer."He's still a big player. I think he's still one of the best midfielders in the world," he said.
