We'll be keeping you as up-to-date as possible on the latest transfer talk in On The Move. You can catch the morning newspaper gossip in Paper Round, read up on all the Latest Transfers and then follow the developing stories in our constantly updated transfer blog here:

23.59 Barcelona again and it looks like there could be a striker arriving at the Nou Camp after all. Barcelona president Joan Laporta and director of football Txiki Begiristain are reportedly in Milan with the view of negotiating a swap deal with Inter for their ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samuel Eto'o. Maybe more on this tomorrow...

23.20 Carlos Tevez, meanwhile, has revealed that he rejected Real Madrid to sign for Man City. No guesses why.

23.05 Cristiano Ronaldo thinks that Michael Owen is a good choice to fill the famous #7 Man Utd jersey. "Michael Owen is an experienced player. He has played at the biggest clubs," the Portuguese winger said. ''He has everything to win at United. He is at a fantastic club and he is a great player. It was a good decision to give him the number seven."

22.42 Manchester United have dropped their interest in Brazilian Douglas Costa. Huge price tag and the fact that Fergie doesn't want any more players might have something to do with it.

22.17 Alan Smith is attracting the attention of Sam Allardyce. Should be picked up for next to nothing, as it's doubtful he'll play much wherever he goes.

22.10 Barcelona have made another bid for David Villa, but 42m euros is not enough and Valencia have rejected it.

21.48 Sochaux have picked up U.S. striker Charlie Davies from Swedish side Hammarby.

21.33 Reports in Italy claim Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is lining up AC Milan's ex-Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini as a possible replacement for either Javier Mascherano or Xabi Alonso.

21.03 Adriano's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, has said that his client wants to come back to Italy in the future. AC Milan are the club interested apparently, but not before December. Or possibly hell freezes over.

20.29 Andrei Arshavin has given us his words of wisdom about the Emmanuel Adebayor deal. ''It's his decision. If he wants to stay or he wants to leave," he said. Thanks for that Andy.

19.59 Everton chairman Bill Kenwright is tired of trying to run the club on a budget and rather fancies a different approach. ''I'd love to find a billionaire,'' he said, shortly before posting an advert in the local paper.

19.38 Marseille and Paris St-Germain are interested in ball-juggling seal impersonator Kerlon, as he might move on from Inter Milan on loan.

19.08 He may have landed Stewart Downing, but Martin O'Neill says he has had no bids for Ashley Young and wants the winger to stay at the club. ''No-one has come in and asked us about Ashley Young and I have got to tell you, if they did they would get short shrift,'' he said.

18.28 Reports have claimed Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe has returned from the club's training camp in Austria, but not to request a transfer - instead it is because of family reasons.

18.05 Celtic have signed midfielder Landry N'Guemo on a season-long loan deal from Ligue 1 side Nancy.

17.25 Wolves are closing in on the signing of Hamilton wonderkid James McCarthy.

16.44 Blackburn have been told that there have been 15 clubs showing interest in Valencia striker Nikola Zigic, who is believed to be a target for Sam Allardyce.

16.35 Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill today got his man when he clinched a £12million swoop for England winger Stewart Downing.

16.16 Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has threatened to report Real Madrid to FIFA if the Spanish club continue in their bid to sign Franck Ribery.

16.05 Ukrainian striker Andriy Voronin wants another chance to prove he has a future at Liverpool (fat chance). He's back at pre-season training with the Reds.

15.37 French outfit Sochaux have snapped up United States striker Charlie Davies. He's joined the club from Swedish side Hammarby for an undisclosed fee.

15.19 The agent of Alberto Aquilani has brushed aside reports suggesting the Italy playmaker will leave Roma for Liverpool this summer.

15.09 Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb, who's failed to make any impression at the Nou Campm could be heading to Serie A. There's talk of him joining Inter Milan.

14.39 Massimo Moratti, head honcho at Inter, now says the Lucio deal is not done. The plot thickens. For a while.

13.56 Barry Ferguson is having a medical at Birmingham City to confirm his move from Rangers.

13.02 Confirmation that Lucio has left Bayern Munich for Inter Milan. A surprise deal and one which would seem to rule out Ricardo Carvalho joining from Chelsea.

12.00 John Terry looks set to fly out to the USA though mobile phones and the like means that this saga is not at an end.

11.30 Peter Crouch looks set for Sunderland. £12m, he's been part of some deals in his time. Steve Bruce has his striker though one fears for the style of play.

11.12 Stewart Downing is all but a Villa player. Odd one, signing an injured player, especially at that price.

10.15 David Moyes does not want to sell Joleon Lescott. But money may talk in the end, we reckon.

10.12 David Gill says that Manchester United's transfer dealings may not be over."I will start each day with the usual emails and correspondence - and I'm sure there will be some player activity going on while we are over there." Does that mean Fergie has come across as bending the truth? Would you credit it?

8.46: Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has rejected West Brom's claims that his bid for Jonathan Greening was "derisory''.

8.10: Steve Bruce is fighting hard to take Lee Cattermole with him from Wigan to Sunderland.

8.00: Welcome to another exciting installment of transfer rumour and confirmed moves.

My comments goes like this the way Mancity is taking every available is becoming unacceptable why is it that they want to buy all the best players they should remember that is only 11 players will be on pitch and is not composary that after all the players they are buying now they will notfind it easy to break into the big four they have to wait till may be next season becuase before all of them will blend together it will be too late.So tell that billionair man to take it easy a rome was not build in a day. They have switch to Emmanuel Adebayor sice they have fail to get Etoo fil may be tomorrow now they will turn to Abrahamovic or even C ronaldo .I am Arsenal for life we can do without Adebayor let him go .Thanks for giving me this opportunity to air my view .

United must sign Aguero. He is world class meet the buyout clause.
This is what we need to do this year,
Sign Obviously
Valencia £16m
Owen Free
Obertan £3m
Not so Obviously
Yaya Toure £10m
Young £10m + Nani
Bojan £16m (or Eto’o £18m but I prefer bojan he’s younger)
Costa £13m + extras if he does well at the club
Aguero £55m
That makes a grand total of £123m but we will earn all that money back with these,
Sell Obviously
Ronaldo £80m
Campbell £5m
Eckesley £3.5m
Martin £1.5m
Then Not so Obviously
Berbatov £35m (to city they’ll pay obscene amounts of money and if the want adebayor then they’ll want berba)
Nani As part of the deal for Young
Manucho £6m
Kuszczak £3m
Simpson £5m
Hargreaves £10m
That adds up to £149m and we only spent £123m so 149-123=£26m + the club give us £20m so we have gained £46m Yea See I know my stuff I’ve worked it out. And if we get all of these then we have only lost 3 if you include Tevez first team players and bought a load of world class players. And GAINED money. See you I hope we sign Young and Aguero at least.

for manutd to have a compettitive season they need a stiker like klaas-jan-huntelaar that can score a minimum of 30goals this season like klaas-jan-huntelaar when he was at ajax

i believe man utd still need to strengthen their attack , sergio aguero will make a good buy, and sir alex should pls get rid of berbatov he is a waste of money and jersey. also arsenal should sell adebayor and get some real strikers for example adriano( at least he is a free agent)
