We'll be keeping you as up-to-date as possible on the latest transfer talk in On The Move. You can catch the morning newspaper gossip in Paper Round, read up on all the Latest Transfers and then follow the developing stories in our constantly updated transfer blog here:

17.39 Obafemi Martins has backflipped all the way from Newcastle to Wolfsburg on a four-year deal, according to the German club's website. The fee is around £7m we believe.

17.23 Alonso decision expected Monday, according to our sources. A deluge of speculation to follow this weekend, we reckon.

16.40 Looks like Mido's Middlesbrough nightmare is over. Or should that read Middlesbrough's Mido nightmare is over? Anyway, he's off on loan to Egyptian club Zamalek for a season.

16.01 Lyon have confirmed the signing of Bafetimbi Gomis from rivals St Etienne. The 23-year-old said at his press conference: "I have come here to win the title back for Lyon," before going on to mention a recall for France. Which is it then Bafetimbi?

15.16 The rumour mill has it that Manchester City may go as high as £30m in their bid for Everton's Joleon Lescott. The Toffees have let it be known, via the same mill, that they won't sell at any price.

14.52 Parma's new recruit, Christian Panucci, says he almost joined AC Milan this summer. "There was almost an agreement with Adriano Galliani (Milan general manager) but he then went back on his word.''

13.37 Talking of Bents, Steve Bruce has admitted that his chase for the Tottenham version may yet end in failure. Steve Bruce, published novellist, probably does not bother with Twitter yet.

12.35 Marcus Bent may not have a Twitter feed and nor does he want a move, unlike namesake Darren. The elder Bent wants to stay at Birmingham and fight for his place, despite many a Championship wanting his services.

11.24 Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola says his summer transfer business is all but completed. "That wise man Sir Alex Ferguson definitely was right when he said that this isn't a year to sign," said Pep.

10.15 Steve Finnan finally has a one-year contract at Portsmouth. He fills a Glen Johnson-sized hole. Questionable quotes from Paul Hart: "It whetted my appetite to think that we could get a player of Steve's calibre here.''

09.39 Arsene Wenger's claims of not being bothered about spending the dough he received for Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor are nixed by Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud saying that `"Wenger actually phoned me. He said to me that he had a list of strikers and that Marouane was on it." That Marouane is Chamakh, by the way.

09.02 Phil Brown says Hull City are still on for Bobby Zamora but is the Fulham striker still on for the Tigers?

08.45 Darren Bent to move today? Though a certain microblogging site may be the first to know.

to manchester city manchester city could have signed the brazilian captain lucio rather than wasting time on terry&lesscott like last season they wasted time on buying kaka.there are many strong players in brazil&spain which are available at cheap rates .so plz buy astrong defence to build a strong lineup .best of luck .

everybody is signing players, yet the Villa have as far as I can see signed Stu Downing whose injured till at least november ! were woefully weak on the ground squad wise & the lack of signings is worrying

Arsene Wenger must sign Chamakh, b'cause Arsenal player too easy injury! Even training also can injured, i don't want to see everytime leading at Leauge Table, then half season facing players injury problem & cause point loss again! It really sad & broken heart!

Arsenal Fighting!
