We'll be keeping you as up-to-date as possible on the latest transfer talk in On The Move. You can catch the morning newspaper gossip in Paper Round, read up on all the Latest Transfers and then follow the developing stories in our constantly updated transfer blog here:

23.59 That's it for tonight, with Peter Crouch, Zlatan and Samuel Eto'o topping the news. Join us again tomorrow.

23.30 Chris Coleman is looking to boost his defensive options following the departure of Daniel Fox to Celtic. There might be a few Madrid players going spare Chris...

22.58 Liverpool and Napoli have apparently agreed a fee for Andrea Dossena. €4.5m will be enough to get the Italian out of Anfield, much to Reds fans' delight.

22.28 Crouch's signing has virtually ensured that Darren Bent is on his way out. Expect the former Charlton man to be in a tug-of-war from a host of mid-range clubs, with Sunderland favourite.

21.57 Sensational news. Florentino Perez has admitted the Real Madrid squad is now too large and the club have to sell before they buy. Oh, and water is wet.

21.18 Tottenham have announced that they have agreed a deal to sign Peter Crouch from Pompey. Not sure why they need another striker, but they seem to have got one.

20.43 Done deal. We all thought it was a joke when we first heard it, but Samuel Eto'o has joined Inter Milan, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic going the other way. Inter get 46m euros, plus Alex Hleb for a year on loan. And we reckon they might have got the better deal.

20.13 The latest player to be mobbed by the fans at Turkish club Ankaragucu? Well, it's Ian Henderson - a 24-year-old striker who spent the second half of last season at Luton and who has previously enjoyed spells with Norwich, Rotherham and Northampton - as he's signed a two-year deal. Not quite Darius Vassell is he?

19.54 Highly rated Serbian attacker Marko Pantelic has attracted the interest of Bundesliga side Schalke, as he is available on a free transfer.

19.28 Aston Villa, still looking for a replacement for Gareth Barry, are sniffing around Sporting's Portuguese international Miguel Veloso, who turned down a move to Bolton last year.

18.52 Zlatan Ibrahimovic has sealed his move to Barcelona and signed a five-year deal at the Nou Camp. His buy-out clause? A cool 250m euros.

18.27 Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has passed his medical with Inter Milan and has agreed a five-year deal with the Serie A champions. Ibra will be next...

18.23 Atletico Madrid's Jurado has been linked with a move to Aston Villa, but his agent has stressed that the midfielder is unlikely to leave this summer.

18.04 The future looks bright for Burnley. Manager Owen Coyle has said: "My policy at day one at the football club is to invest in young players." At least that explains his purchases of Richard Eckersley, Brian Easton, David Edgar, Tyrone Mears and Steven Fletcher.

17.39 Darren Bent has reportedly pulled out of Tottenham's pre-season tour of China as he looks to find himself another club. Sunderland calling?

17.27 AC Milan apparently announced the signing of Giuseppe Rossi on their website. And then took the story down. Is it a mistake? A hack? Or just a case of jumping the gun too early. We'll see fairly soon.

17.02 Zlatan Ibrahimovic has completed his medical with Barcelona, the European champions have confirmed, but they have detected a fracture in his left hand. Don't worry, we think the move is still on and he's set to be confirmed soon.

16.36 Espanyol have agreed to release Steve Finnan from the year left on his contract. Portsmouth or Hull are reported to be interested in him if he can prove his fitness.

16.12 Benni McCarthy says he wants Blackburn to replace Roque Santa Cruz. A loan deal for Chelsea's Franco di Santo is on the table while Big Sam Allardyce wants Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak, who gets the Soccernet seal of approval if they land him. Sam missed a friendly with Leeds to watch the Zenit man so it looks like he's serious.

15.55 Marouane Chamakh has been one of the most linked players of the summer with several English clubs linked. Sunderland, Blackburn, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur have all agreed terms and Arsenal are pondering it too. But "I don't know where my future lies" shows that uncertainty surrounds the Morroccan striker.

15.53 Silly link of the day: Lee Cattermole with Liverpool for £10m. Can't see it.

15.27 An odd summer for Aston Villa. They've lost two captains in Barry and Laursen and Deep Purple soundalike Zat Knight. Stewart Downing is there but cannot play until December. Now Martin O'Neill is saying he's hopeful of adding some more. Jermaine Jenas is on the list but fans of Celtic will know that MON leaves his business to the last minute of the transfer window.

15.00 Leeds United look likely to cash in on youngster Fabian Delph after boss Simon Grayson admitted he could get in the way if a Premier League club came in for him. Spurs, Villa and Everton want him.

14.11 All quiet on the transfer front so this will have to do. Manchester City have given a contract to young goalie James Wood, the son of George Wood, once of Everton and Arsenal. Young James will obviously fit in judging by these words: "Manchester City is a massive club."

12.58 Mido's off after Middlesbrough accepted an offer from an as yet unnamed club. We predict that he'll be good for them for half a season.

12.54 Wild celebrations among our Arsenal contingent to follow the news that Nicklas Bendtner says he's staying on at the Emirates - "as far as I know". Another link has him being used as a makeweight in a deal to buy AS Roma's Mirko Vucinic.

12.53 Bayern have closed the door on Franck Ribery leaving Munich and even taken the time to say that the Frenchman has not, in fact, been seeking a move elsewhere.

12.10 Samuel Eto'o is in Milan to have his Barcelona medical as this swap deal with Ibrahimovic plus a pile of bunce and Alexandr Hleb nears completion. That's if Hleb actually wants to go. He didn't seem keen the other day.

12.00 Lyon want another striker, according to boss Claude Puel. Karim Benzema has still to be replaced.

11.58 Andrea Dossena's agent is hopeful that his charge will complete a move to Napoli. 5 million euros on the table. He cost Liverpool a lot more than that so expect some haggling.

11.56 Obafemi Martins says he wants to join Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg. Better that than the Championship at crisis club Newcastle.

11.32 AC Milan have joined the chase for Klas-Jan Huntelaar, one of a selection of unwanted Dutchmen at Real Madrid. He's going to be costly if you listen to Harry Redknapp.

10.43 Further frustration for Sunderland and Steve Bruce as their move for Darren Bent stalls. Spurs want to recoup the £16.5m they paid for him.

10.19 This is a rather slow news day. Lee Cattermole is not for sale, says Wigan chief Dave Whelan who wants Sunderland to halt their interest in the midfielder.

09.07 Stoke City have agreed to sell Seyi Olofinjana to Monaco. The principality does seem a nicer spot than the Potteries...

08.30 Much talk that Spurs will complete their move for Peter Crouch. Darren Bent looks to be making way - Sunderland next for him?

Hi,
I'm an avid fan of Arsenal and I hope Arsenal won't sell players just for the money to buy other players. I believe in Sir Arsene Wenger's taste of new breed of players that he wants like Marouane Chamakh but I hope he can still bring in players who are good and have the experience both in EPL and Champions League. If they want to improve maybe they should focus on the youngsters they have or cash in on some of them. So the fans will be watching the club who used to have the great Henry, Pires and Viera winning titles year after year. Plus I believe maybe the Arsenal fans out there do hope to have some more great transfers (not just young) but i popular among the region. And all of us are awiating for more surprises for Arsenal during the transfer window.

I am a huge Arsenal support. I went through a Arsenal tour recently and it was said, once a player leaves Arsenal, the may play just as well, but they never play any better. This is very true. This could differ with Adebayor playing for Man city up front along side with Robinho. Happy though we secured Van Persie who bleeds Arsenal blood & Fabragas. I would like Arsenal to land Chamakh. I see Wenger doing the same with him as he did Henry. I thin Chamakh up front with Van Persie & Arshavin in the middle and we'll do fine for fire power. A solid defender would also be key. Adebayor floated in an Arsenal jersey. Wenger made the right move. He was dead weight. He did play well some games but he was non-existent for a large part. Even when Van Persie doesn't score, he gives his all. Arsenal don't need floaters. 4th wasn't good enough. I miss the days of Thierry Henry & Patrick Vierra. With a little bit of seasoning & some tweaking, Arsenal will be back on top.

i am a great fan of arsenal. i am so pained that 'our' manager does not seem to realise that we need a very 'strong' -physically- midfielder. i do long for a person of viera's physique in midfield. i am okay with fabregas, but he is a small boy -physically. he needs a strong person to lean on. please talk to mr wenger- those who can. again we have many defenders, but i don't rate some of them that much, like gallas and sylvestre. i do long for the dats when kolo toure and senderos were rock solid at the back, and they had protection from the midfield. please let mr wenger not sell senderos. let him partner with vermaelen, and let kolo toure be played just ahead of them. i believe he is strong and hard working enough to protect the defence.
