16.26 Chelsea starlet Sergio Tejera has joined Real Mallorca on a permanent deal. It seems like quite a few of the academy are choosing careers elsewhere this summer.

16.09 Ex-Arsenal kid Rene Steer has joined Oldham on a 12 month deal after being released by the Gunners.

15.55 Eidur Gudjohnsen's future could be sorted out in the near future, as his father and agent claimed: "There is interest from a number of clubs and I expect serious discussions with clubs next week."

15.32 Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed terms with Barcelona. There are a few things to be ironed out - namely Alex Hleb's potential loan move - but the Swede could be set to sign for the club, with Samuel Eto'o going the other way, on Monday.

15.16 Stoke have signed Dean Whitehead from Sunderland, for £3m, in a bid to keep them in the top flight next season.

15.08 Ryan France had been on trial at Sheffield Wednesday for two weeks, had been on the club's pre-season tour and has now signed for Sheffield United. Oh dear.

14.51 Danny Fox is now a Celtic player and has made the move from Coventry. He will be able to play in the Champions League after all. Dinamo Moscow beware.

14.20 Keith Treacy is loaned by Blackburn Rovers to Sheffield United, who have also completed a £3m deal for Ched Evans. That's the fee they'll have to pay Manchester City if all works out for Chedwyn and the Blades.

13.14 No-one at Spurs will be particularly sad to see him go but Brazilian defender Gilberto has been released.

13.07 West Brom reject a bid of £4m for Jonathan Greening from Fulham. For a 30-year-old who wants to leave that looks like decent money but the Baggies are obviously holding out for more.

12.37 Aston Villa may have signed Stewart Downing but he won't be able to play for them until December, which begs the question of why Villa did not wait to sign him until January.

12.05 Alexandr Hleb may yet scupper the Ibrahimovic-Eto'o swap deal by saying he doesn't want to go to Inter. He's been offered on loan by Barcelona but clearly doesn't fancy being used a mere bargaining tool. "My aim is to make the breakthrough here and be successful with this club," he told Bild.

11.50 Race against time for Celtic as their interest in Danny Fox of Coventry City looks to be bearing fruit. They have to get the deal completed by Tuesday for him to be able to face Dinamo Moscow in the Champions League qualifier.

11.37 Steve Bruce says Marseille's Cana is "right up our street". Highly rated by our French expert it seems Brucey shares the enthusiasm.

11.36 Sigh of relief for Hammers fans. Diego Tristan will not be continuing his lumpen performances for them next season after signing for Spanish Segunda Division

11.27 Many an English club has failed to sign him and it seems they will have to wait longer after the news that Nikola Vigic will be staying at Valencia. Or so he says, anyway.

11.23 Wolves want Steve Finnan, the former Liverpool player who is not enjoying himself at Espanyol.

11.01 Liverpool continue to strengthen their youth set-up by signing 16-year-old Dortmund defender Stephen Sama. It seems likely he will link up with Christopher Buchtmann, who joined from the same club recently. Dortmund are dismissive of the move and the question of when a Liverpool youth product comes through will continue to be asked.

10.44am Ben Alnwick has joined Norwich on loan from Tottenham. The goalkeeper joins Simon Whaley from Preston and Rhoys Wiggins from Crystal Palace at Carrow Road.

10.24am Brazilian starlet Keirrison will move on loan, despite just signing for Barcelona. "We're negotiating with Ajax and Porto at the moment, but we haven't made any decision yet. I can assure you that he won't join Benfica, as was rumoured in the Spanish press," the player's agent, Marcos, told Globo Esporte.

10.06am Sunderland are closing in on a 6m euros move for Marseille captain Lorik Cana. Everton and Hamburg have been tracking the player, but Steve Bruce is now head of the queue.

9.49am Inter Milan defender Maicon is still being coy over his future. “I am here, I have a contract with Inter and I have to focus on working hard. Then we’ll see what happens,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

9.27am Napoli are in talks with Liverpool as they look to secure the services of defender Andrea Dossena. We wonder if Ezequiel Lavezzi will be part of the deal. If he hasn't been eaten of course.

9.12am Deco is now happy at Stamford Bridge after a chat with new boss Carlo Ancelotti, which might just scupper the club's plans to replace him with Andrea Pirlo.

8.59am Liverpool could be set to move for Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch, with Fulham and Tottenham also fighting it out for the 6' 7'' forward.

8.38am Park Ji-sung is set to sign a lucrative new Manchester United contract during the early weeks of the season. So United won't need to splash any more cash anyway..

8.28am Manchester United chief David Gill has said the club won't try to match Man City or Real Madrid in the spending stakes.

8.00am Carlo Ancelotti has once again reiterated that John Terry will stay. The Chelsea skipper still has yet to make a statement though.
