7.44pm Hull have accepted an undisclosed offer for defender Sam Ricketts from another Premier League club. Ricketts, who is out of contract next summer, has been linked with Bolton, Everton and Portsmouth.

7.06pm Sky Sports are reporting that 23-goal Hull City target Ross McCormack has handed in a transfer request at Championship side Cardiff City.

5.55pm However, Harry Redknapp has today insisted that his priority is a defender after he lost Michael Dawson, Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King to injury.
5.20pm Fulham, Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham are all reportedly interested in Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen.
4.54pm Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said the club are unlikely to sign Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch as he is 'expensive'. Although he would have known the gangly forward would cost upwards of £10m, so we're not sure what he's so surprised about.
4.24pm MFK Kosice have denied that they have received an offer from Chelsea for Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic.
4.01pm Sporting have secured the services of Felipe Caicedo on loan from Manchester City, subjected to a medical. Unsurprising given the number of strikers the Citizens currently have.
3.37pm Brazilian striker Julio Baptista has no intention of leaving Roma, as his agent Herminio Menendez has clarified. "Besiktas? Panathinaikos? A player like Julio who plays for a major club like the Giallorossi cannot accept a move to those clubs," he said.
3.13pm Arsenal's young defender Havard Nordtveit is happy with links to Nurnberg. The 19-year-old is currently on loan with Norwegian outfit Lillestrom, but wants to test himself in Germany.

Sporting Lisbon after dropping down the pecking order at Eastlands. ''For me it is difficult to get in the starting XI at City and the opportunity to go to Sporting would be a personal challenge to me,'' he said.
2.34pm Barcelona and Inter Milan have agreed a deal for Samuel Eto'o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Eto'o eventually getting the right personal terms. 10.5m euros a season in wages apparently, although Inter look like they might have got the better half of the deal.
2.09pm Livorno president Aldo Spinelli is confident Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan will move to the Stadio Armando Picchi on a short term loan deal. ''I think at this point it will be done for next season only,'' he said.
1.57pm Sheffield United are set to sign Man City striker Ched Evans after agreeing a £3m fee for the Welshman.
1.31pm Queens Park Rangers have beaten off the competition to sign Adel Taarabt on a season-long loan from Tottenham.
1.05pm Barcelona have agreed to sign Brazilian forward Keirrison from Palmeiras on a five year contract for 14m euros ($19.91m), the Spanish and European champions said on Thursday.

10.37am The Samuel Eto'o and Ibrahimovic swap gets nearer as the Cameroon striker's agent says the deal will be done. Meanwhile, in true style, Ibrahimovic's agent says that he'll be taking his time.
10.01am To no-one's particular surprise, Tuncay and and Mido will be leaving Middlesbrough. Tuncay has a chance of playing for the big clubs. Mido may be fancied by one of those clubs who sign a player to get them a few points but then see him fade, as he's done at every club he's played for. A list that is mounting up.
9.11am AZ Alkmaar, Dutch champs of course, have snapped up Morten Nielsen from Chelsea. He's a 19-year-old Dane and his existence has so far evaded us in the Soccernet office. Logic dicates that's he's one of Frank Arnesen's troupe of youthful signings, very few of whom seem to have paid off.
9.09am Couple of stories to break today: John Terry is said to be likely to commit his future to Chelsea and a growing row between Liverpool and Aston Villa over the services of Portsmouth's Sylvain Distin.
