11.43pm Cameroon international Stephane Mbia, who recently completed a switch from Rennes to Marseille, has admitted that he still holds out hope of playing in England in the near future. "My dream has always been to play in the Premier League one day," the 23-year-old said.
10.39pm Premier League duo Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are locked in a bidding war with both clubs making moves for Sheffield United's Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker.
10.04pm Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen may leave the Serie A side after just one season, according to his agent.
8.45pm Former Chelsea boss Avram Grant expects Manchester City transfer target John Terry to stay at Stamford Bridge. "I don't think John Terry cares about money," Grant said.
19.29pm AC Milan are closing in on a deal to sign Luis Fabiano, according to his agent. "We are waiting for Milan to return as their first offer was a little too low," Jose Fuentes said.
6.45pm Zenit St Petersburg have loaned French defender Sebastien Puygrenier to Monaco for a year, the Russian Premier League club have confirmed.
6.24pm Wigan Athletic are considering making an offer for Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra, who is also the subject of a £5m bid from Ligue 1 champions Bordeaux.
5.32pm: Tottenham fans will be gutted. Midfielder Adel Taarabt's proposed loan move to Malaga has collapsed. Although he's probably still going to be on his way out of White Hart Lane.
5.09pm: FIFA is planning to tighten regulations to further squeeze unlicensed agents out of the game. Apparently only 25-30% of transfers worldwide are conducted by approved agents, so it should be a good thing.
5.02pm: AC Milan are monitoring the contract situation with Barcelona's Carles Puyol as the defender has not yet signed an extension to his deal that runs out in 2010. Who wouldn't be keen to line up alongside 'The Gooch'?
4.53pm: Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor will have a work permit hearing in Manchester tomorrow, which seems to suggest that the Togo man is on his way to join Carlos Tevez at Eastlands.
4.39pm: Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara says he would like to have David Trezeguet around next season, despite the fact that he seems keen to move on.
4.24pm: Raul has likened the impact of Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at
Real Madrid with that of David Beckham, claiming: ''I was as excited when Beckham started to play with us as I am with the arrival of Cristiano.'' Evidently not a reader of papers over the past year and a half then..
4.07pm: Real Madrid could be set for disappointment as Bayern won't sell Franck Ribery and now Liverpool appear to be standing firm over Xabi Alonso.
3.48pm: No sooner has Mark Hughes captured the signing of the non-English speaking Carlos Tevez, then he goes and admits that the club are in talks with Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor. What's Argentine for ''you could be on the bench''?
3.41pm: Burnley have signed defender Brian Easton from Hamilton for an initial £350,000.
3.21pm: Bernard Mendy has admitted he could leave Hull City this summer. The defender could be heading back to PSG.
2.57pm: Wigan Athletic defenders Titus Bramble and Emmerson Boyce have signed new contracts to stay at the club until 2012.
2.45pm: Ricardo Quaresma has said he wants to prove himself at Inter Milan. ''I have a strong desire to prove my worth and forget about last season,'' said the winger, who failed to make any impression on Chelsea during his loan move.
2.39pm: Barcelona are ready to make a shock move for Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen, as they're not confident in luring Javier Mascherano.
2.09pm: Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has ruled out a move to Tottenham. ''Obviously there are places where I would not want to go. Tottenham? Let's reject that, '' he said. Ouch.
2.07pm: Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness insists Franck Ribery will not be sold. ''He will certainly stay. We are not prepared to talk, not even for 70m euros or more,'' he said.
1.56pm: Real Madrid have now confirmed talks to sell Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Stuttgart are at an 'advanced stage'. Might want to tell the agent though.
1.26pm: Didier Zokora is another to pass his medical. He has agreed a four-year deal and has a rather amusingly high buy-out clause of 30m euros in his contract with Sevilla.
1.01pm: Carlos Tevez has passed his medical, so he has finally joined City on a five-year deal.
12.58pm: Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche is set to leave Getafe this summer, with Real Zaragoza, Valencia and Sevilla all interested in the pacey forward.
12.38pm: Haven't heard much on David Villa's possible transfer for a while, so here's an update. Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has told the player that the Nou Camp club will wait for him. So sorry, no resolution just yet.
12.19pm: Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is on his way out of Madrid as he hasn't even made it for the pre-season tour. However, Stuttgart are no closer to signing him as his agent Arnold Oosterveer claimed in an interview with Calciomercato: “The German club has reached an agreement with Real Madrid, but not with us.”
12.09pm: AC Milan are apparently ''locked in talks'' with Luis Fabiano. So any hope that Manchester City have of signing him appears to have gone. No news from Adebayor as yet, but Arsenal fans are hopeful...
11.57am: Lee Sawyer has moved from Chelsea to Southend on loan until January. Yet another Chelsea kid choosing to move to find regular football.
11.35am: Stephen Warnock has voiced his approval of Christian Vieri, who is on trial at Blackburn. He, and Ryan Nelsen, might be hoping that the Italian is the 'big-name' they're after.
11.15am: Pascal Feindouno could be on his way to Sunderland after a year in Qatar, although it's doubtful that he'll earn as much money as he did out in the Middle East.
10.45am: Sporting have ruled out the possibility of selling captain Joao Moutinho.
10.27am: A little European flavour for you, as reports in Spain suggest Guti could be being targeted by Man City and Italian media claiming that Liverpool are weighing up a move for Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
10.21am: Blackburn Rovers captain Ryan Nelsen expects manager Sam Allardyce to make a big name signing this summer. But he might be the only one.
10.18am: Hamilton Academical midfielder James McCarthy has been attracting a lot of attention and Wolves are believed to have put in a bid, despite the teenager fancying a move to Celtic.
10.02am: West Brom have rejected an offer from Fulham for captain Jonathan Greening. And Bafana Bafana's Kagiso Dikgacoi looks like he's closing in on a move to Craven Cottage too.
9.42am: Sao Paulo star Hernanes could be set to move to AC Milan as they look to replace Kaka and possibly Andrea Pirlo. Brazilian, young, from Sao Paulo.. now where have we heard that before? He wouldn't be exactly like Kaka, but it's not a bad start.
9.27am: Habib Beye has said he must leave Newcastle to save his career. Doubtless other Toon players will probably feel the same.
9.03am: Hull's search for a striker looks set to end as Sunderland's Daryl Murphy could be at the KC Stadium by the end of the week.
8.42am: Felipe Melo is expected to join Juventus within the next few hours, so that's a disappointment for Arsenal fans too.
8.20am: Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is interested in Patrick Vieira apparently. That would probably rile a few Gunners fans.
8.00am: Carlos Tevez again, and he's ready to make his £25m move to Man City today. City fans will be pretty happy about that and so will Carlos, if he actually plays.
