So, it’s finally happened. Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo have got the deal they’ve wanted for the last two years.
The Portuguese winger will be Real Madrid player by the end of the month after Manchester United accepted an eye-watering £80m for their star man.
With Real earlier this week blowing £59m on Kaka you have to wonder where the Spanish giants are getting their cash from; and if they thought about buying Newcastle United for £100m - they seem to have the funds!
It’s all very exciting, but was the first Galacticos experiment ultimately exposed as being an unsuccessful model on which to try and base a winning team; you might sell a heck of a lot of t-shirts, but it you win nothing you look silly.
Perhaps returning Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has a genius idea up his sleeve to stop that from happening.
Moving on, reports in The Sun claim that Didier Drogba has told Manchester City to forget about trying to sign him because he wants to stay at Chelsea.
That could be a setback for Chelsea who might have tried to use the extra cash to try and land Franck Ribery from Bayern Munich how have slapped a £65m price tag on the French playmaker, at least so say The Sun" target="_blank">The Times.
It could be a busy summer at Spurs with The Sun claiming Harry Redknapp is ready to launch a massive clearout. Fourteen players look unsafe, chief amongst them being David Bentley, Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko, who cost the London club £47.8m between them.
Harry is apparently keen on signing a decent defender, which seems like a good idea. The Independent reckon Spurs are in a three-way fight with Sunderland and Stoke to sign Richard Dunne from Manchester City.

Few of us were least surprised when Florentino Perez won back his seat at Real Madrid. In less than one week, deals for Kaka and Ronaldo have been concluded.
Gives us hope that Madrid will surely come back to winning ways next season.
Hopefully.

Sad day for the EPL. Cristiano Ronaldo has electrified the EPL scoring more than 90 goals in last 3 years. Today the English Premier League is not as bright. On the other hand, its a great day for the Spanish League without a doubt. Good luck to Ronaldo, and thanks for all the great memories you given us at ManU.

It is a a SAD day.. for one to believe that the EPL will suffer because of the loss of 1 player.. C.Ronaldo.. personally i not even nearly a fan of Man United but i can really appreciate them as a team. While Ronaldo is a really good player..i still think he has a lot to learn. Granted while the Spanish football may be even more flairly and attractive ..Too much of anything eventually turns bad!! i can't wait for next season !. I also hope Tevez leaves!

Rolando's departure could as well be a good riddance to him. If he gets good pay at real than he got at Man-U, Thank God,I don't believe he would achieve all that he is leaving behind, his form must take a downward trend ( that's natural)He will never be a regular choice ( real is far too competitive). If they don't emulate Barcelona and do a triple this summer then all these signings will be a balderdash. Real could be the biggest looser in this deal, Ronaldo might end being sold after just one season. Man U could be the biggest beneficiary of all times. The decision to sell Ronaldo couldn't have come at its best time than now. I applaud the club.

It would be the same with madrid viva Rooney viva Tevez they reallly care about manchester. Even Berbatov who I didn t like the way he played , wanted to play with this team which IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!!

Im a RealMadrid fan but i'm not really sure how or what to feel about the signing of C.Ronaldo. I've never liked him because of his diving antics. I would like to see Alonso and/or Silva at Madrid rather than Ronaldo.

i dont understand why ronaldo coast that much,he is not a player with a talent,he's just fourtune faver and thanks to roony and i think he will not be a player that he was in epl, there are alot talented players in marid who wants to score on their own thats why marid is not succeful compared to the player they have too so ronaldos move is not fit that much money but rather kaka may and also am afraid it creat a evil competion between them.

i never thought it would happen but it did...Ronaldo would be nothing if it wasn't for sir alex and i dont even like manchester. just goes to show you how much gratitude he has for him to leave that way. but look on the bright side we can finally make the right comparison when it comes to who is the best in the world between ronaldo and messi cause they are going to be inthe same league....for me lionel messi is a better player so cristiano ronaldo here is your chance to prove me and all the other messi fans wrong .....just remember what he did to u in rome with his TEAM ..... not by himself...thats y man u was so poor because u tried to turn the game into the ronaldo show....

Real Mad(rid) are are joke! As simple as that. Hopefuly this shameful abuse of the transfer market backfires as it did last time, and when they win nothing, they won't be able to sell their overpaid, underperforming monstrosity of a team. Chelsea is proof enough you cannot buy glory.

Desperate Real Madrid got what they need. As a united fan thanks Ronaldo for this past few years. There are some other player in the team can replace him. Not a big worried. The stability of the club are more important. I want to watch Man Utd for 100 years not only for 5 years.History has shown that united always create star not buy them.Anderson and Rooney are future for Man utd..

i feel sorry for mr. pellegrini, what a difficult time to gel the team... egos, p****d off long serving players, Kaka must think " why, i thought i am the main man". On the other hand Ronaldo has done well for Man U and for that i thank him. it is now time to move on and i am sure for Alex all this transfer business didn't come as a surprise. if you buy a player, and make him a superstar, all the credit goes to him...deep down Ronaldo knows why he is where he is now. hopefully, the owners will allow Alex to invest this windfall and make Man U even more competitive ...
i am looking forward to another great season for Man U...there is only one thing, i would love to see Carlos staying with us. Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez, what a combination!
ManU forever

Ronaldo ain't got flair's no more and besides, he is a stubborn and rude player full of himself.though he really did well for the red devils, but believe me this galacticos era of a thing would crash down as usual. but nevertheless, we are all wishing him all the best. Ronaldo or no Ronaldo,UNITED WE STAND.
