11.16 pm UK time A quiet night in transfer world concludes with the news that Inter Milan have signed striker Diego Milito from Genoa. The Argentine hitman had been linked with a number of Premier League and Spanish clubs but Jose Mourinho has got his man.
4.46 pm Danish defender Lars Jacobsen, who was probably as surprised as the rest of us that he got to play in the FA Cup Final, has joined Blackburn for what looks to be a free transfer. Big Sam is loading up his defence.
4.04 pm Burnley are trying to augment their team for next season and Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay is most heavily linked. However, the Owls deny any move from the Clarets. .
3.05 pm: How mysterious - an un-named English club have made a bid for Udinese's Gaetano D'Agostino.
Juventus had been in pole position to sign the 27-year-old Italian playmaker, but talks collapsed with Udinese less than impressed with the value of Juve's offer.
Just a guess, but perhaps the club is Chelsea? With new boss Carlo Ancelotti's knowledge of the Italian game it would make sense.
1.20 pm: Just when it had all gone quiet over Inter Milan's interest in Chelsea mis-fit Deco, the Nerazzurri's midfielder Thiago Motta has chimed in saying good a player his former Barcelona team-mate is.
One wonders if Mr Motta is looking for a bit of commission or fancies a future career as an agent?
11.20 am: The will he/ won't nonsense surrounding Franck Ribery continues. Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger has just said he reckons the club can convince the Real Madrid and Barcelona (and Chelsea and Man Utd) target to stay in Germany.
Christian, take it from us: You can't.
10.42 am: Mixed messages from Inter Milan right-back Maicon this morning. He says he is happy to stay in Italy and will shun big-money offers from England and Spain - but only if he is handed an improved contract.
The 27-year-old, who was a key figure as Jose Mourinho's Inter clinched a fourth straight Serie A title last term, has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid this summer.
10.38 am: AC Milan have reiterated they have no intention of selling Brazil striker Alexandre Pato to Chelsea.
10.22 am: Sky Sports News claim that Antonio Valencia's protracted £17m move from Wigan to Man Utd is on the verge of being sealed...
10.01 am: Reports suggest that Manchester City's supposed £25m offer to Barcelona for Samuel Eto'o would see the Cameroon striker become the highest paid player in the world taking home an eye-watering £250,000 a week.
9.20 am: Premier League newcomers Burnley have given veteran defender Graham Alexander has signed a new one-year contract. The 37-year-old was an influential figure last season as the club secured promotion via the play-offs.
8.40 am: There is suggestion this morning that Greek giants Olympiacos have launched a bid to sign Newcastle striker Michael Owen - which could be a setback for Hull and Stoke who are also keen on the former England player.
