On The Move

Manchester United are on the hunt for a new striker following Carlos Tevez's decision to jump ship, and if the Daily Star is to be believed they will make a £45m bid for Sergio Aguero of Atletico Madrid.

Will David Villa seemingly set to stay in Spain, in one way or another, Sir Alex Ferguson has to change his plan of attack. So it will be Sergio for the Premier League champions. But Chelsea are interested too which means there could be a bit of a battle.

One thing's for certain, Fergie won't be paying him the reported £200,000-a-week he wants!

Ilker Casillas, meanwhile, has hit out at reports he could move to Old Trafford. Check out The Sun.

Across the City at Eastlands there seems to be no end to the big spending, with this time Mark Hughes looking at his defence. Could he be about to raid Everton for Joleon Lescott? The Sun and the Daily Mirror suggest that City could offer £15m for the England international this week.

Robinho, meanwhile, has urged Hughes to complete a swoop for Samuel Eto'o, as reported in The Sun.

City have, though, loaned their young England goalkeeper Joe Hart to Birmingham which you can read on this very website.

Despite Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insisting on Tuesday that he would not be selling his top stars, that has not stopped the Daily Mirror from printing an EXCLUSIVE which suggests they have offered Emmanuel Adebayor to both AC and Inter Milan - purely to stop him being poached by Chelsea.

Now that Portsmouth have finally, by selling Glen Johnson, paid for Peter Couch it seems they may be ready to cash in on the striker. Could Crouch be heading to Blackburn Rovers as a replacement for Roque Santa Cruz? It's in the Daily Star.

Blackburn have also been linked with Dynamo Kiev defender Pape Diakhate in the Daily Mail.

Alan Hutton appears to have dropped down the pecking order at Spurs since 'Arry Redknapp took over. That's partly, of course, due to injury but it seems they are ready to take something of a hit on the right-back. The Daily Star thinks that David Moyes may splash out £5m on the Scottish international.

And another Spurs misfit is Darren Bent. The Daily Star believes he could be one of Steve Bruce's big money signings up at Sunderland. The Daily Mirror also tips Reading's Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle for the north east.

And the flow of money for Bruce does not stop there with another Spurs player linked in the Daily Mail. Could Sunderland splash out £10m on Didier Zokora?

Could Diomansy Kamara exit Fulham? The Daily Mirror links him with Celtic for £5m. Roy Hodgson, meanwhile, could sign Jozy Altidore from Villarreal, according to the Daily Mail.

Could Hull City snatch Marc-Antoine Fortune from under the nose of Celtic and Fulham for £2.5m? Check out the Daily Mail.

ManU need Big names!!Bosingwa/Maicon(RB);Valencia(RW);Aguero(stik);D vid Silva/D.costa(Playmaker).3-4players..There are not enough goals from Midfield, and creativity 2!!!Scholes and Giggs and Neville need to be fazed out.Would Park and O'Shea make it into our top4 rivals starting 11-Definately no!!!

What Man u really need is a player who'll take their set pieces. With C. Ronaldo gone, i just can see anyone in their current squad gonna whip those frekicks in. Giggs maybe, but don think he'll play too many games this season and the other injury prone hargreves. Hopefully not too much injury.

Just let fergie do his job..he is one of the best manager in the planet..i believe he will strenghten his team with excellent signings..hopefully he will make things right to make man u champions (double, treble, quadruple, whatever) again next season..(where is loyalty in some of top players nowadays, kinda disappointed with some of the stars)

with benzemma gone to madrid....
'red devils' last ray of hope is to sign villa or sergio aguero or both...after such stints in signings by madrid...its a do or die situation for us....n yes we definately need a good playmaker.. a free kick specialst if possible..
the likes of daniel alves, schweinsteiger were never in the news...
fingers crossed...
