With his forward line depleted by injury, it's thought that Everton manager David Moyes has turned his attention to U.S. teen striker Jozy Altidore, who's currently plying his trade with Villarreal.

However, Moyes' bid to take Altidore on loan was reportedly turned down by the Primera Liga side who feel that Altidore is best served remaining in Spain for the duration of the season as he continues to adjust to life in Europe.
