That's it! We are all done. In the Champions League race until the very last day of the season and an amazing 5th placed finish getting us back into European football, not to mention the gaffa collecting both the Barclays and LMA Manager of the Year awards.

I for one can not wait to visit some random towns around the Continent with NUFC next season.

Over the next few days I will be working on two new Blogs - one about the boss and the other being a full season review.

I'd really like you to leave comment on your moments of the season:

Your NUFC player of the year and why?

Your most improved NUFC player?

Most promising NUFC youngster?

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)

Your favourite game of the season?

Your favourite moment of the season?

And what you expect next term.....

Leave your comments (as long or as short as you like) on here, or on my Twitter page @MarcSDuffy

Player of the Year: Yohan Cabaye...he's the team engine
Most Improved: James Perch
Most Promising Youngster: Haris Vukic
Goal of the Season: HBA's Bolton Dash
Favorite game of the season: Newcastle 3 - ManU 0
Favorite moment of the season: I would have said the reaction (crowd, players and announcers) after Cisse's wondergoal but after last weekend I think it now may be letting Joey Barton go on a free. Yeesh.

Your NUFC player of the year and why?

Answer: Papis Cisse, goals and excitement in a package. We have not had his sort of attacking presence since Andy Cole.

Your most improved NUFC player?

Answer: James Perch, Mr Utility.

Most promising NUFC youngster?

Answer: Shane Ferguson

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)

Answer: Papiss Cisse's 2nd goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Your favourite game of the season?

Answer: Newcastle V Liverpool at St. James' Park.

Your favourite moment of the season?

Answer: Beating the champions Man Utd 3-0 at home.

And what you expect next term.....

Answer: Another solid top six finish. Hopefully we will push the big boys close for a top 4 spot. A decent cup run would be nice as well.

Posted by FCDrunk on 05/15/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Tim Krul

Your most improved NUFC player?
James Perch

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Dan Gosling

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
Ben Arfa v. Bolton (Cisse v. CFC a close 2nd)

Your favourite game of the season?
NUFC 2-0 Liverpool on 4-1-2012

Your favourite moment of the season?
Shola's equalizer vs. "them" on 3-4-2012

And what you expect next term.....
If we retain players, 5th at a minimum, but would love to see the jump to UCL and a decent effort in FA and Carling Cups. If too much of the roster leaves, I'd expect top 7 still.

Posted by Padraic on 05/15/2012

Player of the year: Cabaye - adds the touch of class on midfield. Has a bit of bite about him as well
Most improved: Perch but Ryan Taylor a close second
Promising youngster: Krul - talented enough to become a world class keeper
Favourite goal: has to Cisse doesn't it?
Favourite game: 3-0 v Man Utd
Favourite moment: Shola's equaliser v Sunderland
Next season: European qualification again would be great especially with the extra European games next season so top 7 would be good

Posted by Newcastle fan in Minnesota on 05/15/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why? Coloccini. Tone-setter on defense early when we had the amazing start and best defense in the Prem, then continued as the rock all season when healthy.
Your most improved NUFC player? Tim Krul - from non-starter to one of the best in the world
Most promising NUFC youngster? Haris Vuckic
Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!) Ryan Taylor at the Stadium of Light
Your favourite game of the season? Beating Liverpool 2-0 at SJP... Two who left return, chanting, brace from Cisse, and Enrique finishes in goal...
Your favourite moment of the season? Wonder goal from Cisse against Chelsea
And what you expect next term..... Profitable sale of some players, smart investment in youth who will pass well to set up Cisse, and a real shot at Europa again next year

Posted by Ryan Dunn on 05/15/2012

NUFC player of the year and why?
Colo: marshalled the defence to many many clean sheets, brings out the best in others - Woodgate-esque.

Most improved NUFC player?
Raylor: ropey start playing out of position but showed a lot of resilience and moments of quality.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Santon: looks like he's going to be a very good player.

NUFC goal of the season
Ben Arfa v Blackburn in the FA Cup: Love to see someone being direct and committing players and there aren't many better at it than him.

Favourite game of the season?
3-0 v Man Utd: a great performance and won every battle.

Favourite moment of the season?
Shola's equaliser: nothing to add

What I expect next term.....
I don't expect the same level of performance. I think the squad will be too thin to cope with a European campaign. If we could improve to the squad with more shrewdness and consolidate in the ever increasing pack around the European places I'd be well happy. Realistically though, top ten.

Posted by Junrong on 05/16/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?

Tim Krul. Great first full season and made crucial saves along the way.

Your most improved NUFC player?
Definitely Perch. I was wondering why he was still in the squad at the beginning of the season and I am sure he has proved himself over the course of this season.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Abeid

Your NUFC goal of the season
Cisse's stunner against Chelsea

Your favourite game of the season?
Probably the 3-0 home win over Man U.

Your favourite moment of the season?
Ben Arfa and his magical goal against Bolton.

And what you expect next term:
Defence needs to be strengthen especially in the centre back department else we might end up seeing 4 full backs playing across the back 4 as in the case against the 4-2 loss against Norwich

Promising youngsters with potential being recruited

A striker to cover for Ba/Cisse (if they are still at the club)

Posted by @JoSjo84 on 05/16/2012

NUFC player of the year: Played all games and were very good throughout the season. Saved many, many points for us!

Most improved NUFC player? Tim Krul again. From promising youngster to top notch PL.

Most promising NUFC youngster? Davide Santon.

Your NUFC goal of the season: HBA vs Bolton. He makes it look so easy, like if his playing with his little children. Pure skill and beauty.

Your favourite game of the season? 3-0 vs ManU. Although I missed first half...

Your favourite moment of the season? Cabayes freekick vs ManU.

What I expect next term: Another good season, but Chelsea and maybe Pool will gather enough strength to poke us down to place 6-7.

Posted by Darren Grant-Hall on 05/16/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why? Fabio Collocini. Fantastic work ethic, is a rock at the back and covers for the often sub par Williamson. Is the captain that has inspired quiet confidence throughout the team.

Your most improved NUFC player? I have 2, the first if Hafrem Ben Arfa, I know he was a fantastic player before, but considering where he was this time last year (recovering from a double leg fracture) he's improved a little.
And James Perch. Has been solid pretty much everywhere he's played in the last few games!
Most promising NUFC youngster? Tim Krul/Santon.

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!) Demba Papiss Cisse 2nd goal against chelsea. Just wow.
Your favourite game of the season? Man Utd vs Newcastle 0-3. Epic.
Your favourite moment of the season? The afore mentioned goal, loved that goal.
And what you expect next term. Dissapointment? What I hope for is a new center and left back. To show we're not flash in the pan.

Posted by Aaron on 05/16/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
----Captain Colo then Tim Krul----
Your most improved NUFC player?
----Krul, HBA, AND Guthrie----
Most promising NUFC youngster?
----Guthrie and Perch----
Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
----Cabaye Free Kick (ManU), R.Taylor Volley (Sund), Cisse 2nd Goal (Chel)----
Your favourite game of the season?
----Home to Man U, or At Chelsea----
Your favourite moment of the season?
----Cisse's 2nd goal made me scream----
And what you expect next term.....
----TOP six would be great, would sacrifice that for some success in Europa League----

Posted by S W Cheng on 05/16/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Demba Ba, Cisse is awesome but cannot forget how good Ba was for us before leaving for African Cup duty. His work rate and attitude is fantastic as well, hope to see him scoring more for us next season!

Your most improved NUFC player?
Tim Krul - saved us countless times and points and is one of the KEY reasons why we ended the season where we did

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Ben Arfa/Santon

Your NUFC goal of the season
Cisse against Chelsea

Your favourite game of the season?
Man Utd vs Newcastle 0-3 (almost as good as the 4:3 in the Shearer/Keane era)

Your favourite moment of the season?
Against liverpool, leading 2:0 and when Enrique had to go in goals. Nothing against the Reds, just utterly amusing to watch..

And what you expect next term?
Depends on how the recruitment/retention in the summer transfer. Would expect top 7 finish. If we could win something on the side (Carling/FA/Europa) would be awesome!

Posted by Manny Pardo on 05/16/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Cheick Tiote! Love his bulldog approach, protects the back line and can shoot.

Your most improved NUFC player?
Ben Arfa. Finally fit into the system and then made everyone's jaws drop.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Santon. Looks solid and quick, has done well for us this year.

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
Cisse vs Chelsea. I've never seen the bar react like that before!

Your favourite game of the season?
Away to Chelsea. They were on such a great run of wins, playing with a lot of pride, they delivered.

Your favourite moment of the season?
Seeing Newcastle in Tommy Smyth's Top 25.

And what you expect next term.....
If Pardew can solidify the back, and hang onto Demba Ba I feel like they can fight for Champions league again. Hopefully we'll do better in Europa league than we have in our other recent tournaments.

Posted by HB on 05/17/2012

Best Player: Captain Colo - a rock at the back with a classy touch. Launched attack in so many occasion from a defensive position.
Most Improved: Timmy Krul - really upped his game this season. Much better with one-on-ones & even saved a couple of penalties this season!
Most Promising Youngster: Santon - looks really comfortable on the ball, good overlapping runs and cut-in to his right foot. Hopefully can contribute a goal/assist or two next season!
NUFC Goal of Season: Has to be Cisse's 2nd goal against Chelsea. Unbelievable even after watching the replays a dozen times!!
Favourite Game: Personally, Newcastle vs Stoke City @ St James' Park because that was my first live game at St James' Park. What an experience indeed!
Favorite Moment: Cabaye's super free kick against Man Utd
What to expect: Can't really be sure what to expect from NUFC. But I do hope Graham Carr to continue his scouting magic and Pards to work his magic on the team & propel us to the next level. Howay the lads!

Your NUFC player of the year and why?

All had a strong part to play. But goals won us games, got us points and instilled fear in opponents. I'm between Ba (1st Half of season) and Pappis (2nd Half of season)

Your most improved NUFC player?

I'm between Perch and HBA. Amazing season for both!

Most promising NUFC youngster?

I'm going for Perch. HBA had a good rep before stepping foot in SJP. Perch seems to have realised some of his potential and it will be exciting to watch his development.

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)

Formerly HBA's solo strike vs Bolton. But now, it has to be Pappis' wonder 2nd goal vs Chelski!

Your favourite game of the season?

I'm torn between the Reds game and the Blues game. Both are epic in their own right. I won't even mention the mackems because they don't even deserve that much.

Your favourite moment of the season?

When we started pulling away from the Red in the League Table. HWTL! Early signs of dominance!

Posted by Conor on 05/17/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?

Tough call, but have to say Yohan Cabaye, showed so much class and brought good entertaining football back to SJP, along with every one else on the team.

Your most improved NUFC player?
Again tough call between Ben Arfa, Perch or Krul.
Ben Arfa always was class, but lacked discipline, which is all that has been improved. Krul has moulded himself into one of the prems best. But hands down, Perchinio wins this one with his consistent skill and great attitude in every position.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Sylvain Marveaux / Davide Santon

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
Cisse vs CFC

Your favourite game of the season?
NUFC 3 - 0 Man Utd
Your favourite moment of the season?
Shola scoring the equaliser against the mackems / the atmosphere at the liverpool game.
And what you expect next term.....
4th Place and return to Europes elite for the toon. FInish ahaid of Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool. We CAN do it again

Posted by Alastair on 05/17/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Coloccini. Consistent, and always gives a feeling of "its alright, Colo's dealing with it".

Your most improved NUFC player?
Perchinho. Hardworking, and and covered well when there were absentees.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Santon. Comfortable on the ball, and will improve his understanding with Jonas over next season to be more effective.

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
Cisse vs Chelski (runners-up HBA vs Blackburn or Cisse vs Swans)

Your favourite game of the season?
NUFC vs LFC 3-0. Its not only football, but comedy from LFC.

Your favourite moment of the season?
Cabaye FK goal vs MUFC @ SJP

And what you expect next term.....
Top 10 would be a great achievement as European campaign and African Nations tournament will drain the team. A good cup run to QF at least (FA and League Cup).

Posted by Craigy Paxton on 05/18/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
hard one? there are so many! but im gonna give it to Tim Krull! outstanding goal keeping! 15 clean sheets! but like i say all the team(and the manager deserve the highest praise!
Your most improved NUFC player?
Perch orSimpson both class this season!
Most promising NUFC youngster?
Perch or Santon.
Your NUFC goal of the season
Pappis Cisse. Chealsea wonder strike! but ben arfa's was a close second!
Your favourite game of the season?
Newcasle 3-0 Man utd
Your favourite moment of the season?
as above 3-0 against Man u. or with hindsight signing Cisse.
And what you expect next term.....
Keep or good players! build the teams depth! but basically more of the same as this season. is it being greedy wanting a top 4 finish? lets wait and see

Posted by Dileep Kannan on 05/18/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why? - Cheik Tiote - Without this warrior providing the steel in the middle of the park, Cabaye, Ben Arfa and the 2 Senegalese Lions would have not been able to play their free-flowing attacking football and have a go at the opposition in almost every game.
Your most improved NUFC player? James Perch. Quality utility player and full-on team player
Most promising NUFC youngster? Haris Vuckic
Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!) Papiss Demba Cisse's Curler Screamer Vs. Chelsea!!!!
Your favourite game of the season? NUFC 3-0 MUFC. Loved the looks on Sir Alex's and the ManU team's faces there...Priceless!!!
Your favourite moment of the season? Watching Jose Enrique man the goalpost at St. James'...and this is the man who said he wanted to be with a 'Top' side...read the boss' comments here.http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2012/05/12/alan-pardew-jose-enrique-will-be-sick-as-a-chip-72703-30951627/

Posted by Azhar (Malaysia) on 05/18/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Cabaye..consistantly dictate our play all season long..

Your most improved NUFC player?
Ben Arfa..altough he's a class act, he lacked of maturity in early matches..the confidence and discipline grew on and brought out the best in him in the 2nd half of the league...

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Santon..shined in couple of matches and linked up well with Jonas...

Your NUFC goal of the season
Cisse goal against Chelsea because if it's going to get in from there..it's got to be that way..

Your favourite game of the season?
Trashing Man United 3-0

Your favourite moment of the season?
Shola's last ditch equaliser against Sunderland..incredible!!!

And what you expect next term.....
Some more shrewd signings as I expect that probably one of our front 3 would leave..retaining the top 5 position would be hard but not impossible if we continue to play like this season..I would like to see us going far in cup competitions as well..

Posted by ToonSG on 05/18/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Why hasn't there been a single mention of Jonas Gutierrez? He's been as much of a utility man as Perch and provided decent defensive cover. His work rate is phenomenal in every game he plays.

Yet, I think the difficulty in pinpointing any single individual as our star performer speaks volumes of the team spirit and collective identity that has developed at the club, so this is a great problem to have.

Your most improved NUFC player?
Perch has shored up his game in his second season, but HBA has definitely settled in better and gelled with the team.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Santon given our defensive frailties; has been fairly consistent at the back and isn't afraid of going forward.

And what you expect next term...
I'm inclined to be pessimistic especially after observing Stoke who had a run in Europe this season. 5th place is fantastic, but can we keep it up for successive seasons? No expectations, only hope.

Posted by JosephNUFC on 05/19/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Cabaye. Absolutely controls the midfield and the pace of play.
Your most improved NUFC player?
St. James Perch without a doubt. I never gave up on him and always would defend him on twitter when he went on. Absolute 180 from the fans this season.
Most promising NUFC youngster?
Shane lad or Davide
Your NUFC goal of the season?
RTaylor against the Mackems, set forth a nickname that he'll never live down. Also Cisse against Chelsea, HBA against Bolton, Ba against Man U, Shola v Mackems, and Rtaylor v Everton
Your favourite game of the season?
Liverpool home
Your favourite moment of the season?
Enrique going in goal. I laughed for a good 10 minutes.

Posted by Kingsley on 05/19/2012

Player of the Year: Yohan Cabaye [indispensable in the middle]

Most Improved: Hatem Ben Arfa [by returning to his old-best after the lengthy horrific injury of last year]

Most Promising Youngster: Davide Santon [come on, he is only 21]

Goal of the Season: Ben Arfa's Bolton strike

Favorite game of the season: Newcastle 3 - MU 0

Favorite moment of the season: Same as above. When we bashed MU 3-0

And what you expect next term: Another Europa League qualification at 5th/6th place [unless we bring in another 3-4 gems consistently from Bundesliga/Frech A-Ligue/

Posted by James on 05/20/2012

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
I can't decide between Tim Krul and Danny Simpson. Throughout the whole season they were both top quality.
Your most improved NUFC player?
Hatem Ben Arfa. Everyone knew he had the talent and now he has the team ethic to match that talent. Unstoppable on his day.
Most promising NUFC youngster?
Haris Vuckic.
Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
Papiss Cisse's 1st goal against Chelsea. The technique involved and the audacity to pull it off, brilliant!
Your favourite game of the season?
Newcastle United 3 - 0 Manchester United
Your favourite moment of the season?
Cheik Tiote bossing the midfield versus Manchester United, huge reason we won that day, well that and Yohan Cabaye.
And what you expect next term.....
As others have previously alluded to; who knows? I think if we have the success and luck we have had in the transfer market than I can see more of the same, but the Europa League will stretch the squad next year.

Posted by Arman Lie on 05/22/2012

I'd really like you to leave comment on your moments of the season:

Your NUFC player of the year and why?
Tim Krul. He's been the most consistently performed play, with 15 clean sheets which is the reason why newcastle can finish at fifth.

Your most improved NUFC player?
Tim Krul.

Most promising NUFC youngster?
Nile Ranger.

Your NUFC goal of the season (and there are PLENTY of candidates!)
Difficult choice between HBA's and Cisse's goals..

Your favourite game of the season? Won against Bolton at home.

Your favourite moment of the season? Finishing 2nd at once..

And what you expect next term.....
Keep the key players, in particular Krul, at all costs. Bring in a few quality players and young players to increase the squad depth. Hopefully can finish at fifth or above
