Apologies if this is not as well written or as well formatted as my usual entries - I've jumped straight on here in outrage and emotion.
Mike Ashley, you don't know what you have let yourself in for. Chris Hughton is the most widely backed manager (from fans and media) that we have seen at SJP in years.
Your handling of the man has been despicable. Your handling of this football club continues to be disgusting.
Chris has spent next to nothing - he took us from a shambolic football club falling apart at the seams to Championship Champions at a canter and with style.
He has us in 11th DESPITE your lack of support. Who would not have taken that before this season kicked off?
If this is a knee-jerk reaction to yesterdays performance then you are a fool - we were missing SIX key players.
Ashley - you are a disgrace. GET OUT OF OUR CLUB.

honestly i'm gutted.
but i hope the fans will calm down and don't act like the way they acted when Keegan left.
remember ? we ended up by relegating.
it was a lose-lose situation.
[I think the relegation was more as a result of the fat man appointing Joe Kinnear than the reaction of the fans!!!!]

Hughton was the best thing to happen to our club since the late Sir Bobby Robson!
Now to make up my mind as to whether I shove my season ticket down his pie-hole or up his fat a###!
Should be a good degree of hostility toward the fat git come half 5 on Saturday...

Get out Ashley you are a disgrace of a man. Hang your head in shame. You've sent our club backwards again, back to the dark days.
Chris you'll always be remembered for the fantastic work you did over the past few seasons. Hopefully some other club will be grateful of your ability.

What a horrific move. Without significant investment in new players, Hughton secured promotion and has brought great EPL results against top teams. Standing mid-table at the holidays is more than most NUFC supporters would have asked for. What a terrible shame - clearly another spiteful move towards true Magpie supporters.

Mike Ashley is a nutless-greedy ####### down to the T. Hughton was/is the best case scenario for our club. No one deserved a contract extension more than he did. Now where does NUFC go from here? I hope the entire squad sits out next week against Liverpool to demonstrate the unity of the players and to support Hughton. Maybe a bit excessive and outlandish but that is exactly what Mike Ashley is and deserves.

AS A NUFC fan I am in utter rage at Ashley, but as for Chris Hughton, I think business wise its a blessing in disguise, I'll bet a number of clubs will be calling his name soon and he could make 2 or 3 times as much as he was making under Ashley.

not an NUFC fan, but I feel so, so, so, sad for your club. Ashley is a complete idiot--how that man made even a shilling is beyond comprehension. Firing hughton was classless as much as it was mindless. When NUFC were first relegated if you told me they would go straight back up I'd have called you mad. I expected them to be in League 1 this season, not the EPL. This is complete credit to Hughton--I've heard some people say that NUFC were expected to finish first because they had the best squad far and away, but what about Cardiff or QPR last year? They didn't make it up despite promotion worthy squads. No, it's not about the players, its about the gaffer. Hughton was an inspiration to this team, and I'm terribly sorry for you all. Best of luck, and may Ashley leave this club as soon as possible, and in better hands than his (not that it can possibly be worse!)
