To all Manchester United fans who read this column, please listen to the pleas of our players and United fans everywhere to stay at home and not join in this deeply troubling movement.
Football has to take a backseat this week as our country is suffering the worst civil disobedience since the 1981 riots. Sadly, on the fourth day trouble has broken out in Manchester. At the time of writing there are reports of gangs heading to Altrincham.
The fact that people are not happy has surely been noted now, to carry on would only cause irreparable damage to our city, our country and our society. No grievance is worth that. After the IRA bomb the people of Manchester, more than most, should appreciate that violence is not the answer to our problems.
Our players on the riots:
WayneRooney Wayne Rooney
"These riots are nuts why would people do this to there own country. Own city. This is embarrassing for our country. Stop please"
rioferdy5 Rio Ferdinand
"Unrest now in Manchester....come on now....this isn't the way....stooooooooop it. What is this in aid of?? Innocent people are the victims."
"I can't tell the youths exactly what to do but stealing tv's + trainers+burning innocent peoples houses+shops aint solving nothing at all."

from the Rock that is Jamaica, I implore those persons who have sought to cause mayhem and profit from this problem to stop immediately. We need peace and not war. Trust me, I know what it means to live on hard times but violence solves nothing. Is this what you would want your children to see you as? please stop...

Though I applaud this call from a Man U supporter's point of view, I would just like to say, "Those who live by the sword will die by the sword". The UK has also caused more mayhem in most developing countries especially in Africa including Libya so let them taste their own medicine.

Citeh's Sugar Daddy should give each rioter a million quid to stop destroying things....AND a Citeh season ticket to help fill the place when one of the Big Boys aren't in town.

To those mindless rioters, put down your violent tendencies, put your energies into making your neighbourhoods better places to live, look for ways to earn a quid honestly. Haraunge your local MP and petition him and let them know that your not happy with your lot through a peaceful demonstration. Vote in the local and national elections if you want change. Last election had the lowest turn out in years. In Australia you are forced by law to vote. Make the change by vote not violence, stop blaming everyone else for your woes. Take personal responsibility for your lot get up in the morning look yourself in the mirror and ask why am I in this shit of a hole & Dont blame anyone else
I am English but made the choice to emigrate 9 years ago and take my family to a better opportunity. I could have stayed in England and moaned about how bad my lot was but at the end of the day it was down to me to change
be sure in August I get homesick for West Upper R27 St219. Keep the red flag flying high

Grow up dudes... don't show you are still immature and childish and insane!!!!!
If you got the guts, do it openly, dont hide your identity!!! if you are hiding, then you are a coward
Dont make innocents pay for what you doing!!! Think if someone does same to you or your family, then how you will feel.....
