The first thing to do is congratulate Spurs. Over the course of the season they have been the better team and deserve their place in the Champions League. Moreover, in beating Chelsea, Arsenal and City at the end of the season, Spurs in my mind truly earned the place.

And it's pretty unlikely that Bellamy and any of the other players signed since the takeover will be leaving any time soon. The reason is simple, their wages. City paid over the odds in transfer fees but also gave significant pay raises to a host of players. As such these players are virtually impossible to move as their wages will upset any wage structure at other clubs.
