It was an interesting 36 hours from when Roy cancelled his press conference to Kenny walking the troops out at Old Trafford on Sunday. Once I woke up on Thursday morning, after the Blackburn debacle and Roy wasn’t gone, I thought John Henry might make us suffer a little longer. That Blackburn game was a joke as we were completely outplayed during the entire match, except for the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes.

I thought Johnson and Gerrard were woeful, everyone gave Gerrard plaudits because he almost dragged us back in the game but in my mind he only played for the last 8 minutes or so. In the current Liverpool set up he is not a central midfielder. He does not tackle, nor track back and only when he pushes forward (see the ball he won for the goal and when he was tripped) is he a player that other teams fear. Rafa knew this… it's time that everyone else figures it out as well, including him!

Anyway, when I woke on Saturday I just couldn't believe that Kenny was back. I was relieved to see the back of Roy. Everyone knows I didn't want Rafa to go, but to replace him with a mid-table manager like Roy was an insult to us. He did so many things wrong, never mind his tactics and his signings! It was how he carried himself and what he said that was the nail in his coffin for me.

Smiling after we were played off the park at Everton, not backing Torres at OT, telling us how these great draws were "famous" against teams we had never heard of in Europe, telling us just this Friday that beating United would be a major scalp....(Roy this is Liverpool not Fulham..beating United is difficult but it is not a major scalp !) I hope this is the last time I really have to talk about him. I'm sure he was nice and all but we all know were nice guys finish.

So Kenny's back and it's all been all smiles from him and the supporters for the first time in ages. His pre-game press conference and his post-game, combined with his press conference today were very good. He said all the right things, while not mentioning his almost 35 years in the game (sorry one more dig at Roy). He was just marvellous with that Scot wit coming over many times. He gave the players credit for trying hard in Old Trafford and I'm hopeful that he will continue to give Martin Kelley more time as he was very good.

Obviously, having Kenny back is very emotional for the supporters and we deserve that. The man is our greatest player and he also gets us supporters, just like Rafa did. He will give a 100% to the job and that is all we can ask of him. It's very exciting to have him back for me as him and Keegan were my first idols. He is truly a Liverpool treasure!

A bit about the game against United. Both teams were poor but with the benefit of a dreadful decision by Webb the game was beyond us. It was never a penalty, his boot was tapped, but he didn't dive...but it's a man's game and Webb should have given a goal kick. Instead the big time Charlie blew for it and we were chasing the game. Gerrard deserved to go, his tackle was stupid, but I don't believe he intended to hurt the player this time. I have seen him try that before and this was not one of these occasions.

He was very silly and now he misses the next 3 matches! Once he got sent off we never really looked like scoring and United had a good spell right at the start of the 2nd half but they were also quite boring.
