I saw our current manager on the way back home to California last Sunday, the day after attending the Stoke gmae. Once I got over deciding it was really him I just shook my head and walked away from him. It was just me and him as it was early hours in the Manchester airport.

If the same thing would have occurred in 2004, just months into Rafa's reign I know what I would have done. I would have walked over and said thank you to him and shook his hand. Thanks for trying to understand the club and it's fans. It's something that our current manager just doesn't get and he has no excuse because he is English! It's been at least 48 hours since Roy was apologizing to the press for something. I loved that our previous never backed down from anything!

I was lucky (or perhaps unlucky)enough to get tickets for both Wigan and Stoke and except for the first 10 minutes of the Wigan match we were awful. We were lucky to get a point in the Wigan game and they totally outplayed us. They have better athletes then us and are quicker all over the park. We did have some chances to win the game in the last 10 minutes but it would have been very harsh on Wigan.

Stoke was a game between two poor teams but Stoke were more physical then us and battered us with the long throw-in. I remember when Rafa was in charge, we didn't give them a throw in until a minute before the half time mark. In this case we were just booting the ball out of touch. It's not very nice to pick on an individual performer but Konchesky performance against Stoke was a 1 out of 10. He was bloody awful for the entire match. He made Maxi look like a world beater!

The only real highlight of the match was signing in the away end. It felt good to belt out a few songs but overall we were very poor. Liverpool have a tremendous amount of work to do. Gerrard needs play off the striker and get out of the midfield. Kuyt needs to go back to right midfield and we need a left sided player that can go around someone (how long we been saying that). Konchesky needs to be removed from the squad completley for a while.

About
Kevin Brodie Kevin Brodie has been fortunate enough to see some of Liverpool’s greatest teams and players in action over the last 35 years. Reds fans are spoiled for choice in trying to pick their favourite memory. The best early memory I have of watching Liverpool in person was our 7-0 thrashing of Spurs, with the 7th goal being a thing of beauty. Watching us in 89 lift the FA Cup after the terrible disaster at Hillsborough was also very special. My favourite Liverpool moment on the TV has to be the Champions League final in 2005. It was a day I will never forget.
